The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on “Dune: Part Two,” the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning “Dune.”
The big-screen epic continues the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s acclaimed bestseller Dune with returning and new stars, including Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (“Wonka,” “Call Me by Your Name”), Zendaya (“Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Malcolm & Marie,” “Euphoria”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning”), Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (“Avengers: End Game,” “Milk”), Oscar nominee Austin Butler (“Elvis,” “Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood”), Oscar nominee Florence Pugh (“Black Widow,” “Little Women”), Dave Bautista (the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “Thor: Love and Thunder”), Oscar winner Christopher Walken (“The Deer Hunter,” “Hairspray”), Léa Seydoux (the “James Bond” franchise and “Crimes of the Future”), Souheila Yacoub (“The Braves,” “Climax”), with Stellan Skarsgård (the “Mamma Mia!” films, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”), with Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years,” “Assassin’s Creed”), and Oscar winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”).
“Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
Villeneuve directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts based on Herbert’s novel. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick. The executive producers are Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.
Villeneuve is again collaborating with his “Dune” creatives: Oscar-winning director of photography Greig Fraser; Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette; Oscar-winning editor Joe Walker; Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert; Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is again on hand to create the score.

What a good line
Finally a movie I'm interested in watching
The opposite for me. Looks boring

It'll be an interesting movie. I will have to say that it is one of the very few movies I've been looking towards to seeing.

I CAN'T WAIT.!!!, I know this film is going to be Truly Epic.!
Got to say the first part blew me away. One of the few films I have enjoyed recently, another one was wonky, Timothy chalamet has an amazing career ahead of him.
I can't wait to see what he does next. Apparently he's doing something involving ping pong this year. Color me intrigued!
@@heatherbukowski2102 Lmao, the range!

March is almost 1 month away since we are almost in February
I’m seeing this on opening day, March 1st!
I haven’t been this excited for a movie since no way home
This is leagues and bounds beyond No Way Home could ever dream lol. The last time I was this excited for a film was literally Return of the King...
I cannot wait to watch this movie
Reading more Dune has given me an appreciation for just how hard it is to adapt such novels, but it's so worth it to try.
I think alot of novels would be better adapted into a tv series with hour long episodes and at least 10 episodes, that way they can flesh out the story and not have to leave out important parts, but either way I'm still excited for this movie.
I helped write the script for this movie.
Peak cinema incoming! 🔥
lol xD

I wonder what exactly the Emperor is talking about. He must mean that Duke Leto chose family and loyalty over power. Not sure. It'll make more sense in context.
Leto chose Jessica. Jessica chose Leto. The Bene Gesserit breeding program was thrown into chaos and an abominable Worm seized the tiller of the universe.
He was just a good man and leader which made him a target. The Emperor is not exactly an ethical, good leader; he only cares about power. The whole reason the Atreides were sent to Arrakis was to wipe out the entire family, a plan totally spearheaded by the Emperor. The Duke is such an honorable guy, he accepted his new "duty" on Arrakis without a fight. Mostly though, the Emperor is probably just trying to deeply insult Paul with this comment. Spoilers, but... Paul has him right where he wants him at this point. Empy is not a happy camper.
The Emperor never called Duke Leto a weak man who believed in the rules of the heart. Those are Villeneuve’s words, written for this adaptation. They were never in the book and they mischaracterize the Duke. He was a loving family man, but he was not a softie when it came to ruling. In fact, in the novel the Emperor admired the Duke and regretted that political necessity made them enemies. He once told his daughter, Princess Irulan, that if she had been a bit older, she could have been married to Duke Leto, as he was worthy enough to be part of the imperial family. The Duke and the Emperor are actually distant cousins.
Leto was well respected and loved by many in the landsraad, as his influence will just continue to grow on. And that alone was a threat to the emperor's "power" that one day, leto could just overtake and flip his entire sardaukar legion with an ease (if he wanted to). I guess he just mad that the duke is a far more formidable leader than him in terms of acquiring power/gaining control?
@@SunsetRogue True, Leto is more shrewd than the movie makes him out to be. Part 1 also had a scene on Caladan where Leto sort of tells Paul he can follow his heart and he'll love him no matter what. This is probably a continuation of that. I still think it's a nice, provocative line. It's true in some sense of the Duke, but not in others. It's also (imo) true and not true of life. It is dangerous and bad to be ruled by your heart in some sense. And also quite bad not to be in another.
Watching battle of arrakis at cinema will going overlord epic 🔥🔥

That's the Emperor telling Paul he needs to set Chani aside and take Irulan as his Empress. He cant listen to his heart. Paul will do what must be done to secure his reign.

how long untill MAX gets it? one of the few movies i might consider going to a theatre for; because i havent went to one honestly in like 20 years (so many sweet sequels being waited for, avengers, justice league, xmen, dune, mortal kombat)
Final days of February/March 1st depending on your country. It's gonna have about 5 to 6 weeks of IMAX. Without a doubt the best way to see it, Denis is rivalled perhaps only by Nolan in his use of IMAX.
