I’m a heroine addict with 2 years clean. The way he depicts that inner voice trying to break you down to use is genius. That’s what it’s like. I watch this video every morning to remind myself that the inner voice is my enemy, I’m better than him and that I got clean for a better life, the inner devil has no place in my life. I’m so grateful for Tom making this song and nova for making the video, I can’t iterate the strength this video gives me every morning.

I own a construction company (I started building it the week I got out of rehab) I have more work than I can handle, my phone never stops ringing. I am the best carpenter/customer service business owner in Louisiana, I’m a small company currently but I have a 100% client satisfaction rate because I want to be the best. I know I’m the best, but even still, no matter how much I accomplish, that inner voice tries to pull me off my horse, tries to convince me I’m not good enough, that my failure is coming and I can’t avoid it.... so why not just use while you have $$? enjoy being high with $$ in the bank. That’s what my inner voice tries to convince me of, this video is like a light that shines on the devil, it shows me where mine is and how to tell him to f*** off🖤

She's crazy creative with the camera. To think she comes up with such a cool video all shot in their house. Insane.
He could be a consistently decent artist, but keeps pandering to the right wing and shoving his agenda down our throats.
Tom did with this track something very important: He made his demons as strong as they could be. If you want to defeat your demons you need to build them up, so your defenses against them will also be built up. If you assume your demons are weak that just makes YOU weak.

I have never seen anything like this. This guy is a "demon" when it comes to rap. Where has he been?
If you notice in first chorus it's only Tom singing, 2nd chorus both sing, 3rd it's like they become one (shows him between demon and himself). I feel he's saying he writes/sings with his demon. Almost like it's always a part of you.
Speaking of Acting, there are some hilarious Skits on the Tom/Madchild album "Killing the Neighbors".
I watch a lot of reaction videos including y'all's. I have yet to see ANYBODY notice or at least say something about the pulls the sword out of the stone line in the hook. In case no one knows what that is a reference to, it references King Arthur, who also had inner demons that told him how weak he was. Tom's lyrics are just simply amazing.

Here's a crazy fact when this was released eminem dropped his album the same day. The your not eminem line was crazy since for a while tom had more views than eminem.
Basically, the subliminal message in this song is that you need to be impressed by your demons and keep them close because they formed the strength needed to fight through the darkness. It helps to never forget to keep fighting
Tom is such a great storyteller.
They work their asses off. Tom has worked 20 hour days and Nova has been known to edit for up to 36 hours straight. He said he doesn't sleep much. Even in the song, Blame the Rappers, he spent 6 hours just digging the grave in his backyard to shoot the video. I can see that being his age since I worked 16 to 18 hour days in the desert during the Gulf War for months. I can't do it now as I'm older so enjoy your youth why you have it. It flies by fast each day. It's like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end of the roll, the faster it runs out.

Cindy thank you!! I will say this... we try our best to stay positive and always lift people up. Of course we make mistakes at times. When i have a goal set its game face then celebrations. When it comes to seeing others talent, success, hard work it either makes me really happy or makes me cry because im so happy. lol when i watch a documentary of someones grind to success lol that makes me emotional. seeing their perfromance makes me happy. I have struggles of my own at times. I started making music as an outlet to vent but our next album is going to reflect the positive and uplifting side of who we are.

Gotta say, the "inner critic" isn't universal. I'm related to four people who've never experienced it. Not even for a moment. They know when they've screwed up on a logical level. The don't FEEL guilt, but they do understand where they broke the social contract and are bothered by that. They correct their future, but immediately let go of the past. But they've never endured that inner demon relentlessly ripping them to shreds. One was super curious about the phenomena. Another was deeply uncomfortable with the entire concept, but patiently tolerated it in others and understood that their personal lack of demon wasn't normal. Two didn't relate to it at all and didn't give af about the torture that most people endure. They just thought it was stupid and were impatient. (1. Psychopath - absolutely non malevolent. 2. Well adjusted type A personality with childhood trauma who's been battling to tend to their clogged emotions. 3. Covert narcissist. 4. Psychopath - non malevolent, but Machiavellian to the point where murder to further their ends wasn't a deal breaker.) There are MANY more people in these categories than the average person can imagine. If you have an inner demon, be grateful. That means you aren't a psychopath. If you can shut down your inner demon every single time it rears its ugly head with ease by blaming others for your bad outcome, you might be a narcissist and should probably get that checked out.
A couple things 1. If you really want a Blink 182 feel from Tom check out his Heart emoji song with best friend. Oh and you'll definitely need Suzi there for that 1 lol 2. No dog still... How disappointing
