    • samia31ify same with both parents too! A toxic mother is just as bad as a no-where to-be-seen-father...Cause lots of people experienced having an emotionally unavailable/immature parents, and that’s still in thier lives.. that could never show effection and validation like the father in this lovely video 💯

    • Agreed. I HATE baby talk.

      @linflower8879@linflower88793 жыл бұрын
    • @@Emiliapocalypse I read this and stopped to agree. My goddaughter us living proof. Her parents and I (I was the adopted "auntie") had a "no baby talk" policy. If the word or concept was too large we just simply broke it down into easier to understand bits. By the age of six, my goddaughter had the vocabulary of a young adult. And she read at a fifth grade level sometimes higher. And to be honest, I don't think she was at all remarkably gifted. She just had adults who treated her as a small, intelligent human being, not as a toy or a possession. Some results from this: She went into the military at age eighteen with the intent of travel and education. She saved her own money and put herself through school (her parents helped her but this young lady is fiercely independent and wanted to prove herself) all the way up and through graduate. She is now a forensic pathologist. If more parents treated their children as future contributors to the community instead of dependents or possessions, the world might be a better place. Just a thought.

  • That is about the most precious thing I have seen in a long time. My husband and I laughed so much. God bless that daddy. This blessed country needs more men to take up time with their children. Our country wouldn’t have a lot of the problems we have today if more daddies listened to and carried on a conversation with their children. And that baby is a good age to start with.

  • Not only is this the most adorable video, this father is teaching his baby SO much. Conversation, face/eye contact when speaking with someone, listening for tone and picking up on facial expressions. Even though he's not actually saying real words he's learning to hold a conversation because his father is responding to his babbles. This is how language and communication starts! Talk to your babies/toddlers. They're learning the whole time.

  • Oh my goodness, I think my heart just grew 20 sizes! What a perfect daddy, and a precious baby! I bet mommy is one proud lady! She is doubly blessed. I wish my husband had been so wonderful with my ( our) babies. My husband was born without a personality, and doesn't know how to smile or laugh it seems. He is a good provider, but that is where it ends. Luckily my kids turned out wonderful and successful adults. Praise Jesus.

  • I know it's hard to resist to baby-talk to little ones, but it's really important to talk to them like you'd talk to anyone else. They understand way more than you think!
