    • If it were up to me, 4 season show with 12 episodes per season, 1st season covers the short stories from the 1st and 2nd books, season 2 would cover books 3 and 4 culminating in the thanned coup, season 3 would cover books 5 and split up 6 into season 4 with book 7, that’s how it should’ve been paced

  • The show ended with season 3 when Henry left. Don’t get me wrong, Liam and the cast are not to blame, the cast have done a great job with their characters and I’m sure Liam will do a great job of playing Geralt. Our problem is with the writers and the show runners that purposely drove this show into the ground despite backlash from the fan base and Henry Cavil. This show could’ve have such great potential but it ignored what made the Witcher great because the show runners wanted to do something else. Netflix should take note of The Last of Us and Fallout’s success as video game adaptations because they followed and respected the lore that they’re built upon.

They practically threw the source material out the window and made changes under the guise of appealing to a television audience. While the books aren't perfect, much of their content could have been used and slightly altered to create an enjoyable TV show. You can enjoy the show all you want, but the critiques about it not following the source material are quite valid.
