Henry talks about his Warhammer hobby, growing up on a small island, the outdoor grill set up on set with director Guy Ritchie, working with Alan Ritchson, his new movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, his character of the film being the inspiration for James Bond, training his handlebar mustache, and he answers the least searched questions about him.

We're talking about season 2 and 3 when they started bringing in new writers to the show. These were the writers that started to think they were better than the books. The terrible stories in season 2 and 3 show this clearly.

    • Fun fact, these shows are scripted and rehearsed. Kimmel is very much a nerd like Cavill, and he is part of one of the biggest and most well-known D&D groups in the world. He absolutely knows warhammer. He plays the part of his audience, who are casual media enjoyers that would not have the patience or interest in hardcore hobbys. Cavill understands he is unusual for his looks paired with his hobby, he has stated he is used to it, and loves to introduce people to his hobby. People often forget that acting and film production is a nerd interest, and is filled with nerds and geeks. Pretty much all actors and actresses have some nerd hobbies, and most of them hide it pretty well. Cavill is a hardcore enthusiast and is very open about it, mostly because he priorities it over his career and his community are very proud to have him. Thus we get these seemingly ignorant and passive aggressive interviews that irk anyone in the know, and is an interesting topic to the casuals.

    • @@KingLuis1985 Yes and no. Those are nerd hobbies and interests (gym/workout only until recently has become nerdy), sports are still on their way to becoming that way, but very slowly, there is still an old guard that is gatekeeping interest in most physical sports. I think you are skipping the social ineptness (and even antisocial) figure of "nerd", which is what society really qualifies as such. Like technology, science, math, video and board games, media, art, etc. Interior design is one of those I would consider a meta art, it really doesn't follow a lot of creativity and focuses more on contemporary looks. Very far from being in "nerd" realm. Especially considering it's more for the interest group that obsesses over modernism and extroverted appearances. Nerd culture is more introvert. Which is a good word to talk about acting with. Acting is very much a extroverted activity, however, a majority of actors and actresses are very introverted when they are not behind the camera. People like Cavill, Kimmel, Conan, Letterman, etc are often found to prefer being introverted when they do not have to be "the show". This is due in part to cinema and media in general being a very nerd culture. The knowledge of history for past present and future of the interest, the knowledge of technology and the art of the final imagined cut, and of course the aspect of doing it for themselves, not for others. Which I find very antithesis when it comes to talk shows.

However, insiders say he may have been asking for way too much money and major creative control, that an A level star can demand. However Cavill isn't an A level star (probably at least B - C level) and that to some degree I can understand WB being a little hesitant to bring him back due to his demands that maybe he hadn't quiet earned, but at the same time WB was also being extremely difficult as well.

  • I wish people would give Henry hard hitting questions. The few times they have, he gives very articulate and thoughtful responses, and comes across very genuine. Like I get we’re all glad he’s a nerd and he’s into Warhammer but I’d bet someone like him would love the challenge of answering something deeper. If you don’t know what I mean, do a little research. He’s not near as flat as this when he’s engaged in something that is making him really think. I think it’s the infj in him.

    • I like hearing him answer questions he wants to answer, and those are usually about his hobbies, which can be deep and challenging. you're not giving them a chance, you think your interests are better, and that is the essence of being a nerd. being looked down for your interests because npcs think theyre unimportant. i've heard this selfish bigotry for years. keep labeling everyone, you're the one who is labeled.

    • @@Anotherhumanbean12345 okay. First of all. I, myself, am a huge nerd. You are the one who is assuming and being what you are saying I am. Because you have a nerve to hit on this. I have no problem with his hobbies being Warhammer and gaming and everything else. What I was saying, was he is answering the exact same question about it over and over and over again. We know he’s into Warhammer. We don’t need to recover it again. So unless the interviewer plans to ask real questions about it, going back over so you like Warhammer is boring. He is worth far more interesting questions.
