There's a great performance chart I saw at Siggraph, where the RTX chip beat out the GV100 (a beast of a card) in shadow tracing 2 to 1. The Arnold Renderer is already pretty fast on CPU, but the GPU version running on RTX was damn near instant. The Spiderman still image finished in 20 seconds at 1440p.

Erion 2048, those are the specs of the RTX 2080 ti founders edition. The regular 2080 is a little lower and the non-founders editions don't run quite as fast and only have one fan.

OK this is an absolute silly question but, is there such a thing as MSI Afterburner/RIVAtuner being incorrect in its readings? I have a newly built rig: i7-8700K/32GB ram/STRIX 180ti OC edition/HERO X Mobo. I am getting up to 200 fps while playing DOOM on ULTRA settings, and other games I am always in the 3 figure range when it comes to fps. Thing is, I haven't OC'ed anything. I use the ASUS turbo app and hit OC mode, that's it. Ive never heard of such high fps and I'm really not complaining, I just think its too good to be true.
Stunning. Its been exciting watching games and the hardware driving them evolve over the past 30 years - I remember before the playstation came out people said real time raytracing would never be a possibility due to the massive amount of computation needed … yet here we now are.
