Arsenal came 2nd, with 84 points (9 points more), didn't come anywhere close to both the domestic cups and also were knocked out in the Europa League RO16. So, Man United had a better season. You’re very quick to point the finger at how poor Chelsea’s new owners have been and pochettino almost all the time gets a pass. But with ETH you lot are always the first people to get on his back about performances and results? He needs time under the new ownership so there’s a structure in place for him to perform and get the squad the way he needs it.
it's Pochettino's first season in charge of Chelsea, not that he's a great manager either but just saying. Objectively, judging by results and they way United has been playing Ten Hag is a mediocre manager at best. If you think he needs more time that's your opinion based on your feelings. Some of us think he's just a bad manager. The signing of Antony alone should be enough to judge him by. He managed him at Ajax before so there is no excuse for spending that kind of money for such a player. Maybe he just wanted to make his friends at Ajax some easy money since United is such a cash cow.
Trashing your players when youre about to get fired is actually what all managers do. Mourinho did it. Ragnick did it. They try and avoid the blame and push it all on the players. It does nothing but create further toxicity. His optimism with the media is there in order to keep some sort of positivity. He needs that in the dressing room if they have any chance of winning the final. The reality is that half the players need to go. Its not ETH. 80% of the team are players from other managers. Most have gotten previous highly successful managers fired. New management will help him get rid of some of the toxic players in the offseason that have been needing to go for years. Inconsistent players like Rashford are the worst. We will do better next season with ETH. Espn pundits are all haters… just spewing biased trash for views as usual. Burley was advocating for Arteta to be sacked when Arsenal was going through a very tough period in the Spaniard's second season. Not seeing any real analysis. It's not about "having no leaders" or "team collapsing". There were gaps in the middle and behind the full backs, that every team has been exploiting. As a manager, your in game management has to be on point. At 3-0, why are Dalot and AWB bombing forward? Why is Mctominay running forward. Instead of lazy criticism: Oh Utd have no leaders. Why is our defensive shape so bad. On one of the goals, Dalot was in the CB position. On the disallowed goal in injury time, AWB was in the CB role. Maguire was running back from attacking. Ten Hag has had a whole season to organize his defensive shape, but he keeps pushing this nonsense inversion of RB and bombing LB, and playing Mctominay and telling him to bomb forward, so we are always 3 players short when we lose the ball.

As a United fan am I EXTREMELY embarrassed by having Ten Hag as our manager. He is a clueless clown that has nothing to do in the Premier League at all. I’m not a huge fan of Ten Hag. Just rubs me the wrong way but I chalk that up to Dutch cultural differences. There’s way too much negativity towards him though. They’re not the club they need to be top to bottom so it doesn’t rest entirely with a manager in his second season. For a long time I said fire him (I’m pretty neutral, Canadian with Gloucester roots. Poor Gloucester AFC😢.) There’s no one acceptable that wants to replace him. Mourinho? He’d take it. Southgate? Ten Hag has insulted the intelligence of every football fan who's not completely asleep at the switch. His tactics (or lack thereof) are a disgrace. He is essentially playing Ole football, with a much more talented team and he's done a poor job at nearly every level of the job. He didn't discover Kobe Mainoo. Mainoo has been talked about for years and his performance in preseason, along with the abysmal performances of Casemiro, Amrabat and the general lack of depth in the role is what forced Mainoo.
