    • When I was younger I played in the same club as my dad. He always told me, if he ever saw me throw a racket or act unsportsmanlike he would pull me off the court. With that being said, I played a match and played terribly. I threw my racket at the wall. My dad walked on court, picked up my racket, congratulated my opponent on a well played match and promptly pulled me from the court. At the time I was livid, but now I tell my dad that was the right thing to do. Since then I would like to say that I have become a more gracious loser. Incredible move from my dad. Now I play with my dad every other week and we have a blast, even if I play terribly.

I know the majority just looked at this video and saw the funny side...but as a tennis player myself, I could feel how much frustration these guys going through. There are days where you just want to be anywhere else but on the court.

    @whatsfordinner1695@whatsfordinner16953 жыл бұрын
    • Props to those who play obviously but mental toughness second to none? That's a bit of a reach lol. MMA and contact sports are much more gruelling. Hell even Test cricket is gruelling, 5 consecutive days of constant playing for at least 8 hours a day and sometimes in scorching weather. So yeah, second to none is a bit of a reach lol

      @keyuranpillay7834@keyuranpillay7834 Жыл бұрын
    • @@keyuranpillay7834 I agree, boxing, mma would be more intense. Those are contact sports. Disagree with cricket. There is a lot of stop start. Half the fielders doing nothing. You concentrate for a few seconds for a dot ball. Then there’s nothing else to do for a min. You’re also in a team environment so there’s other people to rely on to give you a boost.

Besides, even if you want to categorise sports by intensity, there are sports where the athlete's actual life is at stake.
