Since filming this video, we have had some time to play around with the dual adjustment system and the adjustable magnets and have found a few set-ups that work quite well. We are excited to continue exploring the options with this puzzle and will definitely keep everyone updated on our discoveries!

My first impressions The new mechanics with the customisable options feel like a copy from the MoYu gts3m and the magnets from the guoguan yuexiao edm. I’m not saying that this is bad because for anything to progress, you need to apply other peoples ideas otherwise there would be no good cubes to date. gan is trying to make their cubes as compact as possible. What I mean is that you won’t have to carry as much recourses and accessories with you. In this case this doesn’t come with spare magnets. I think that this is a good innovation as I believe that having so many little parts is a nuisance and could be lost easily. The Xs has changed that which is good and could possible decrease the price of the cube because less individual parts have to be made. The cube looks very quiet which also would be very nice for passive solving in public so you won’t annoy others. The problems with the product that I can see is that colour scheme is a bit meh. The orange and red are very similar on the stickered version. I feel fascinated and I hope I’ll get

I think this is one of the coolest looking cubes I've seen, and I like the tensioning, it's cool that you can see your magnets too
It's amazing how you are able to adjust the cube. I'd love to have one in my cube collection!
I feel like they were trying to copy moyu on this one even though the cube is different than the wr or edm. I love the design of the magnet capsules that gan did with the x and I thought it was genius but this design is a complete 180 from what gan has been doing with the lately. And I am not exited to see the price considering the gan 356 x was $60 and this cube is supposed to be an upgrade. I am ecxited interested and intrigued
You just said exactly what was in my m mind.. I don't like the fact that they just abandoned their systems, just to copy what moyu has been doing to CATCH UP with gan...

I actually think this cube will be the same price, if not cheaper due to the fact it won’t come with a ton of extra magnets and springs now. And if it is more expensive, I can’t see it going above the 70-75 range. That’s getting seriously ridiculous.
UPDATE - The stickerless version has matte plastic.. I really don't understand what GAN is upto.. It's pretty clear from the 249s, 251 and the 356i that the vast majority of consumers do not appreciate it.
Initial thoughts: amount of the cubes released vs the size of my wallet is negative correlation.
This cube looks amazing, innovative, and definitely looks like a step in the right direction for cube hardware. I am very excited for this puzzle although I am not sure if I will be able to afford it until a while after the initial release. I definitely want to have this puzzle and this could easily be one of the best cubes on the market, for performance and customization. I am super excited for this release!
The cube looks amazing so far. I really like the shades of colors on the new releases and also I really like the different adjustment setting on the cube. They out did themselves with this cube!
The new cube seems very nice to me. I'm excited about the new modern features. I also like having fewer accessories and they've done this with the new magnet system! I'm really excited to try this cube myself!
My initial thought is that they stole all the innovations from MoYu that were introduced with the GTS3 (dual adjustment system) and the EDM (sliding magnets) so I'm expecting that GAN is either going to get sued, or we find out that YJ bought GAN or something like that.
I don’t think they stole it. I think they took the innovation that the other brands made, and used it in their cube to create and even better one. I mean, it’s not like they put a copyright on those innovations. There isn’t anything wrong with them taking it, except for maybe the fact that they are being unoriginal? When the first person or company put magnets in their cube, do you think they expected no one else to try it? No, it’s an innovation they discovered, and why would they keep it to themselves? It’s just Gan trying to make the actual best cube, like they always do. New innovations instantly means that the most recent Gan cube could be better. So, they are making it better. It’s fine if you still disagree, everybody is entitled to their own opinions
Paradox yeah I feel like it’s a Samsung-Apple thing. Like sure, Samsung did it first but apple did it better.

My initial thoughts: The cube looks like a nice cube with a spring compression and adjustable magnets. It expected to be much expensive so it only exists in to my dream because I cannot afford it.

Personally I think that it's good that they adopted the MoYu tensioning system. It has a variety of new magnetic technology so it has a wider customisation possibility. But I think they should have changed the outer look just a bit because why not. The main thing I'm worried about is the price range. The GAN X is is $ 60 so is would say this will be around 75/80 $ because of the new magnetic and tensioning system. I'm very excited to try this cube out when it comes out. I personally don't like any of the GAN 3x3 s as of now , but this may change my opinion. I'm glad GAN is trying to innovate new technology , so that a person may buy a cube like this , and if they are satisfied they can use it throughout their entire cubing journey. Again I'm very exited and hope to try this out.

My Initial Thoughts: To be honest I feel like there’s not really a ‘big’ change about the XS. The design looks sleek and clean. But all that they’ve tweaked (from my view) is how to customize the cube; GES nuts, magnets and so on. But overall it seems like a good cube even though it’ll probably cost twice as much as the X. Depending on other future KZheadr’s reviews, I’ll see if it’s worth the money or not. All I’m getting from this cube are Apple vibes 😂. Great content as always

I'm definitely interested in this cube. I prefer the new magnetic system over the previous one with the normal gan x because of how much faster it is to change. So hyped up for this, the only problem is 💰

A very interesting take on how to customize magnet strengths, definitely different from the 356X. Would love to try one of these!
The overall look is great and it seems to turn pretty good out of the box. The new magnet system is amazing since you don’t need 3 different cubes just for the different magnet strengths. I think this is GAN’s best cube they have made so far in 2019!! I’m looking forward to the results of the winners!
Ok so basically it's a gan x with all the things we didn't like about it, i.e. magnet rattle, huge amount of ges and magnets that we aren't gonna use etc. BUT, one thing hasn't been fixed. And it's a very big thing : its price. I personally don't have the money to go around spending €70 on a 3x3, but I know some do, so i'll just say it's not for everyone. But let's not only focus on the downsides ! It does have a better adjustment system than the previous gan flagships (which looks a bit like a sci-fi weapon of some sort at first glance haha), it has an easier magnet system, and a big plus for me : it's lighter. All of these are good improvements, although I cannot help but notice the new designs look eerily similar to some other flagship puzzles from competitor brands. All in all, i'm pleased with this release from gan, but i'm still not so happy about the price. If you have the means to buy a €70 cube, go ahead, i'm sure you'll love it. But, I imagine that if you do have the means to, you probably already have a gan x, in which case I would recommend passing this release, which does not bring ground-breaking improvements. Anyways, I hope I didn't repeat too much what everyone else said haha, but if you're reading this, have a nice day at the cubicle (and everyone else) :) !
My Initial thoughts: The cube seems similar to Moyu’s releases, though there are still some juxtapositions between the 2 brands. I've always been a fan of Gan Cubes and I'm excited to see how this will compare to the other. GAN has worked hard to utilize the qualities and features in modern speed cubes. The XS's edge piece has no white piece which is different from the GAN X. GAN has really done a great job with the new GES dual adjustment system. Looking forward to seeing this cube being mass-produced.

My Initial Thoughts: I think that this cube is great. I mean GAN really stepped up on making such good cubes like this one. The design is sleek and seamless. And also, the added feature of magnet adjustments is just genius. I think personally, this cube will cost a bit more than the GAN X. But this cube offers a whole lot of new features. Im feeling something that this cube is going to be a GAME CHANGER.
I am super excited for this one. The 3 cool adjustment system are good appreciate GAN..👏👏 AND the 6 settings in the centre r pretty awesome.🎉

My initial thoughts about this release is that its actually quite staggering. For years, Gan has been pioneering and innovating hardware. The Gan X was a gigantic step up in customizability, adding in a much easier tensioning system, and the ability to change magnets. This was incredible at the time. Moyu released their own take on a core mechanism with the GTS3. This cube combines the numerical IPG with the GTS3 settings, and it looks very promising. More customizability with tensions and speed, more tension accuracy, and more simplicity. The magnets look to be inspired by the YueXaio EDM, which is a great idea. The super quick and easy magnet edits allow for a ton of unique setups for the puzzle. In conclusion, I love seeing Gan pioneer a cube with this much customizability, while bringing together ideas from other top selling flagships with high accuracy. I'm excited for what Gan willl do in the future, and this release proves that Gan can still innovate the top of cubing hardware.

This looks like such an amazing cube, especially with all the innovations Gan has made! (even though we've seen the adjustable magnets and dual adjustment system before, I'm sure Gan will do what Gan always does, and make it 10x better) =)

Initial thoughts: GAN is arguably the most creative cubing company out there because not only does every iteration of their new cubes improve from the previous release and include some new innovation, but they are willing to incorporate the innovations of other cubing companies in their product. This release incorporates the spring compression system first seen in the GTS3 and the magnet adjustment system of the YueXiao EDM. Combining the spring compression with their Numerical IPG is really creative and shows that gan is willing to improve cubing technology and make it as convenient, customizable and performance oriented as possible for the user.
Best impressions I've seen so far
First thoughts: I thought that there would be more features with the magnets but looking it it. It looks better than other cubes that have came out recently. I hope this cube is as good as it looks. Thanks for the videos btw.

What i like about the cube is the dark accent color and the matte finish of cube and that it has all the features of newest cube like the magnet adjustment from edm and the adjusting of spring from moyu into one
Looks good and I like that it is easy to tension and very customizable so it is almost guaranteed for everyone to like it.

This is why I like gan cubes, even though their cubes are very expensive, somehow they always manage to make innovations, and the best of all is that those innovations make their puzles every time better.

It would cost as much as gan x I guess, cause there are no more extra magnets, and the new technology would cost a little, so I think that it will price about 60 dollars ir so.
I agree with a lot of these comments talking about how they're taking a lot from MoYu. I'm really excited to see more about the cube and comparisons later. Gan is really living up to their name of the Apple of cubing companies. Either way I still want one 😂

I have previously owned the Gan 356X cube and used it immediately as my main. Cant wait for this release!
Initial thoughts I was really excited and i couldn’t wait to see the new cube and how it worked and this video just showed it to me and I was really happy with how it turned out as a cube. I have always been a fan of gan cubes and always will Be they continue to constantly improve their cubes and impress me. The gan xs was no different.

X 4 nuts x 3 setting x 4 magnet strengths = 48 Xs 2 Nuts making 6 depths, 6 elasticity, 3 magnet strengths = 108. Don’t know why they advertised it as 72 when theres 108

I really like Gan as a company because time and time again they prove that they are innovative and are willing to take some risks to even further improve their products in the future. This cube looks like it will be no exception, and with so many new features, I am really excited to try it out at the first opportunity!

my initial thoughts on the GAN 356 X: good to see that GAN has brought a system to to fine tune cube......first the GES....and now this spring compression system similar to that of MOYU's. also kudos to that simple technique of adjusting the magnet strength....its sounds better than removing the magnets and replacing them with different ones..... so through permutation and combination....a lot of variations can be achieved.....hats off!!

I need this cube. I love very adjustable stuff like this that doesn’t take a lot of time do so things like CHANGE MAGNET STRENGTH. Crazy company.
Initial thoughts: I love that you can adjust it without having to swap out a bunch of parts. Pretty ingenious. Surprised Gan came out with this update after just releasing the GAN X version.
Actually i'm using air um right no and my timings are around 8 seconds with that cube so i think i can improve my time and i like their thinking about these new technology instead of having too much of spare parts which can be lost
My intial thoughts are: This is a hybrid of Moyu's spring compression system and YueXiao EDM's magnet positioning technology in Gan 356X! I have always loved the feeling of Gan cubes. But I think spring compression system is better than swapping GES nuts. Now that a Gan cube is having it, is like dream come true! Would also love to see how changing the position of magnets change the strength as I haven't tried YueXiao EDM :-( Would absolutely loveeeee to get my hands on GAN 356 XS :-)

My initial thoughts: The cube seems like a mesh of different cubes together. With the spring compression and adjustable magnets. Overall, the cube looks like it could cater to a wide range of cubers given different setups. I've always been a fan of Gan Cubes and I'm excited to see how this will compare to the other flagship cubes.

Me and my nephews started cubing over the summer. I use the little magic and they use the mf3rs2. This cube looks awesome with the adjustable magnets and it looks pretty stable - our cubes tend to be slippery and tend to pop. But this looks like a real cool cube! I like it!
