  • Three things: 1. Yes, that's actually how you pronounce GAN. It's named after Gan Yuan Jiang, the person who started the company, and that's how you say his name. 2.     • _"... that's actually how you pronounce GAN."_ I don't remember for sure, but I didn't think Mandarin has the /æ/ sound that we use in English, so I'd be super surprised if it were supposed to be pronounced /gæn/ like you usually hear. although, I guess this raises the question: is Gan Yuan Jiang's native dialect Mandarin? if not, does his dialect have /æ/? in any case, does *any* kind of Chinese have /æ/?

    • IKR two people at my school have a gan x and they average like over 1 minute. I average sub 25 and I’m gonna get a gan x soon. I like the x more because I don’t like frosted plastic.

    • I highly recommend you get the GAN 356 AIR M it is basically a GAN XS without the swappable magnets and it costs 20 usd less

  • Although I live in the UK and it is $17.50 AUD to ship a cube from Australia to England, the price (including the shipping) is actually better at daily puzzles (only if you use discount code TINGMAN ) than it is in UK cube stores. All the cubes at daily puzzles are at a really good price compared to other cube stores across the world!

  • Question @tingman at 2:14 you click the magnets as close to the core as you can. Isn't that the strongest setting. Or as the magnets get closer to the core the magnet strength goes up? That is how the strength was explained to me at least.

    • When you move it closer to the core, it miss aligns the edge magnets and the corner magnets, reducing magnetic strength
