Fun fact: You can't drive this car with a normal driving license in Europe, because of it's weight.
With a B licence, the normal one, you can drive vehicles with a maximun allowed weight of 3.5 metric tons. So yea if I won 1 and a half mill out of nowhere I'd have to return to driving school

One thing Doug didn’t point out about Bamboo is 1) It repels water. 2) It’s anti microbial 3) Scratches close up somewhat so it does not show as much. I was in Texas and saw a Brabus Black and Grey 6x6. Looks sick

As someone who's driven a Unimog in Forza Horizon 4, I second this motion. They are HILARIOUS. They do *not* give a shit what's in their path, much like the 6x6 doesn't.

If you want to update your Dourscore, a couple owners have said on forums that the Brabus G63 AMG 6x6 does 0-60 in 5.3s. Seems a bit quick, but two different people claim the same general time, so I guess it's legit. An extra 165hp is probably good for a two second improvement in acceleration. I can only imagine how much this would weigh were all the carbon fiber bits made out of steel or aluminum like most trucks.

the pickup bed is really ridiculously small. I hope it can at least get a fifth wheel hitch (or that would be a seventh wheel hitch lol) Would be interesting to see a 3rd row version (much like a chevy suburban is a pickup with 3rd row instead of a bed)

@Kristof Alexy Yes, this is correct. In Germany tuners are licensed as manufacturers so this big truck is actually a Brabus 700. No Mercedes-Benz logos anywhere on it even if it started out as one.

When I'm looking too those carbon fiber wheel arches, I think, I exactly know for what kind of terrain 6x6 is primarily built for. It is not primarily built for terrain we mostly have in the US, or Europe. It is primarily built for sand dunes of United Arab Emirates. Or maybe for Siberian snow. And when you're off-roading on same, you don't have to be so scared about carbon fiber... J
In the us we have deserts. Look at Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and socal.

Most reviewers, of anything, after a while, you notice them finding more joy pointing out at the things that need to be improved, that they forget the joy of what they are doing, Doug for me is my favorite, just because he really enjoys what he is doing and I hope he stays that way forever.

My point is not how special the 6x6 is compared to the Enzo (it's not,) it's how to an average person, the 6x6 is "more impressive." My dad doesn't know what a "supercar" is. He has heard of Ferrari and Lamborghini, but probably has not heard of even McLaren, much less Koenigsegg or any of the even more limited manufacturers. If my dad saw an Enzo, he'd go "Hey, look, a sports car!" or maybe even "Hey, look, a Ferrari" if he recognized the badge (I give that a 50/50.) But he would respond to the 6x6 with a giant "WTF" and be FAR more interested in it. He doesn't know an Enzo is a supercar, he'd call it a sports car.
Doug, if you get a chance, you might want to have a look at the Mercedes Unimog. This is where this truck got its off-road DNA from (eg the axles).
I would definitely buy one of these if I had insane money. Love them!

Please cover the 6 wheeler Citroen CX. That is one of the craziest cars ever made. There's a good story behind the 6 wheeled CX btw. These were used in Europe for transporting 2 tons of newspapers at speeds above 200km/h. These are rare because a lot of them just crashed because the people driving these were young and inexperienced and were tired while driving at night. Mine still does 210 after 40 years and I didn't even top it out and it is not even the turbo version. It doesn't sound fast, but it does it with 2 tons in the trunk in 1982. The hydropneumatic suspension makes them comfortable and crazy fast on bumpy roads. Talking about the hydropneumatic suspension: The Citroen Xantia Activa (of all things) is even crazier. These are like the CX but without the body roll. These whoop supercars in cornering. Yes! a 2000,- Citroen Xantia will whoop racecars in the slalom. Please cover some of these. Thanks for your video's, I enjoy them.

@Ryan Loomis 2.0 Well, that's true. I bet over half of these will never ever leave a paved road in their lifetimes. The Range Rover has won respect from automotive enthusiasts for its off road capabilities but I've never seen one that had been taken off road. I mean there isn't a speck of mud inside the fenders or under the body! I seriously think some people buy them as a much cheaper alternative to a Rolls Royce because quite a few still see it as a "British" luxury vehicle.

I think exhaust coming out the side rather than all the way to the back has been a G wagon thing before. I had a 99 or 2000 gray market G 500 and I think it had twin exhausts out of one side. They started selling that car for 30 or $40,000 less here in the US the next year with North American air-conditioning. Austrian air conditioning in a black car on the gulf coast was why I had already traded it when that happened….. hopefully it got sold to someone in a little bit cooler climate who planned to keep it a while
