From the Canada in the Rough Archive: In this episode, Paul Beasley heads into his favorite deer spot in the peak of the rut in search of a couple mature bucks on the hit-list. His hunt comes to a close rather quickly when he encounters a post-mature non-typical buck they’ve been chasing for years.

  • The act of hunting animals for sport is something i am deeply uncomfortable with.Every animal's life is valuable, and i believe in the importance of respecting all forms of life. The pursuit of animals in their natural habitat for entertainement or sport does not align with my personal values of compassion and respect for nature.

    • We agree. We don't hunt simply for the sport. We hunt becuase we enjoy the outdoors and like to feed our family wildgame when possible. And we, as a community of hunters, actually care deeply for the animals we hunt and their habitat. In fact, hunters and anglers give more money back to help protect wild animals and their habbits more than all other groups of people combined.

    • We dont do it for sport. All of the animals on our videos were eaten. Deer are abundant here. They are an important part of our food supply. The license to harvest that deer was issued by the government who pays biologists to monitor and study populations to ensure sustainability
