  • Coyotes get start to get really aggressive this time of year when pickings are slim and the cold keeps them hungry. They keep on escalating right up to after when the pups are born in April. Then there are just some family packs of coyotes that are more aggressive than others too.

  • testosterone is getting high this time of year late Feb to mid-March is mating season and pickings are slim so late hunting season is slightly risky as light falls, I carry a handgun during my state's primitive seasons because I don't bring extra bullets for my musket and I can put more 9mm down range then I can arrows if a coyote gets a little too interested as I drag a deer to the barn. I metal detect in the summer and had coyotes come within 20 feet of me so I would not doubt if one would try and take a deer from me especially if it has a pack.

  • Good video. I don’t think bait is unethical. Do you use food plots or crop fields to hunt over? That’s bait. Do you hunt near apple trees or oak trees with acorns? That’s bait. Do you use deer scents? That’s bait. Even grunt calls could be considered bait. Most hunters use at least one of these strategies. Who gets to decide what is unsportsmanlike? I’m sick of hunter shaming. Only 6 % of the population hunts , please let’s stick together so we don’t lose our privilege.

    • You have to look at your State hunting rules and regs. to see how "baiting" is defined, regardless of what one "believes" personally. You also need to follow the rules on quantity of bait, location of etc. In addition, many States require that hunters immediately retrieve and tag their harvested deer. This video shows one reason why. So many hunters want to kill, kill, kill more deer that they forget about harvesting a single deer ethically. Most disturbing about this video is the hunter's description of his shot on that doe. Take away all the bla, bla, bla and you hear the truth, "I let one fly". Instead of focusing on that deer and shot, the thought of killing this deer right away so the next one can be shot, overshadowed this guy's judgement and shot. And then there is the issue of these large bait pipes. It's unnatural and thus causes unnatural movement and concentration of game (e.g.deer), predators (e.g. coyotes), and non-game species (e.g. songbirds). This causes a whole host of problems (e.g. car killed deer due to increased unnatural deer movement across roads to the corn, concentrating coyotes and wolves causing predation on pet's and livestock, disease spreading in any species, and on and on). But hey, isn't killing deer and making money on KZhead more important?!

Sometimes ppl will set up “non bait” feed for livestock, dogs, chickens that ultimately doubles as bait, but it’s risky business, our game wardens will watch you for days sometimes - and if it’s a trophy buck, other hunters will be investigating you themselves

  • It’s illegal to bait in Mt. Besides a fine they might lose hunting privileges for a while. Sides, in my opinion, that’s killing not hunting. We are a fair chase state. You can’t have an unfair advantage. The animal has to have a chance to get away, unless you wound it then you track it, so no electronics or lasers or night scopes allowed unless you are after non-game animals like coyotes. I do believe they decided to allow lighted nocks because they only help you find your arrow and see where you hit. They give you no advantage.

Luckily her family finally realized she'd been gone too long and came out with a couple of guns . Some really are aggressive ! 🤷🏼

  • First question, does are off limits where I'm from...Only by draw can you get a doe. Second, pretty irresponsible at not getting down and packing up your deer after a 5:30 pm kill. Dark at what 6:00pm? The regulations are you need to be done your hunt 30 min after Sunset.. Not dark, sunset. So definitely the second shot with a bow really shouldn't have happened, because using that guideline, you should have been already been looking to see where the first one was and getting it ready. I realize that the video might make it seem a bit darker that it is, however had the coyote seem or smelled you as you were prepping the deer to get out, it would have been long gone. Lastly, content is usually spot on, but this one and even the title are on the south side of the good stuff. Oh and as for the "she can't handle it, she can't handle that and gang gang gangstas etc.... You two let a single coyote bitch slap you and take your doe while huddled together in a tree....gang gang nuttin.......

  • The deer ,coyotes are thick around our place here in nc. I don’t think they are scary at all. Kinda like them. The owels are raising all kinds of hell this year for some reason. Haven’t figured that one out yet.breeding or territory id guess. I carry a little pistol around in the woods..never had any problems except for a raccoon & a red fox.different years, they were out mid day so you know something is up. They needed help to not suffer any more. Looked like rabies on both. The fox turned towards me but was to far gone to move quick. I dk who doesn’t like yall killing does but they would change their tune when one totals their new car out. A 12 point crazy acting buck me & my daughter have been seeing running around in the day time since he was barely a 6 point jumped in the back glass of a kids honda in front of me one morning about 9 last winter. He was banging up pretty good & kicked the whole car up pretty good before he got out. 3 broken legs & some other bleeding. I helped him to heaven and he looked healthy enough. Forestry guy happened along & helped me get him on his tailgate and to my place. No snow to speak of but it was cold & had been some good long cold snaps. I got a lot of good out of him & pulled the rest way away. Birds and everything else got a taste. Finished him up pretty quick. About put the saws all on the rack but tied it to a tree instead. That’s the way to go. You guys have any idea what might have been going on with that deer?all the daytime running. There’s not any stray pets or pet dogs left to roam around here. Never saw anything chasing him. And he always seemed good & healthy. Big boy. Thx.

  • How nice of you to share part of your meal with your four legged friend. Just kidding there friends. I actually went gun hunting one year and I didnt know it at the time my flashlight fell out of my jacket pocket when I harvested a 3 pointer with my (built like a tank) trusty ole 7.62x39 Yugoslavian AK47 and I was sure happy that I brought that gun instead of my 3 round magazine rifle because after field dressing, several coyotes closely followed me out of the woods in the twilight getting darker by the minute. I dont know how many because certainly some of them stayed at the gut pile but at least 3 to 4 followed me while pulling the deer and it was getting heavier by the second as I drug the animal up the mountain to the road. Is all I could think about is if I have to shoot at them and run out of ammo, as they just dont stand in one spot like a target does, thankfully I had two - 5 round magazines and a few loose in my pocket. I never even thought about dangerous dogs on my heels but that is a fact of life when your out in the woods alone and in the dark and too winded to try to escape or even be able to climb a tree.

    • Yes😂 hubby got a sled this last year. It was worth the money honey. He uses pretty much all tactics. The food plot is tended year round. They gotta eat up and stay around.

    • This is absolutely NO sport in the way these guys are doing this. You're absolutely right. Anyone can hunt this way. These 2 are NOT sportsman.

  • Using bait because you can't play fair. Most places it's illegal to kill anything without spikes at least. Hopefully you find a new hobby.
