Same here. I get stressed when I do the parking especially, when another car is waiting. I feel tensed and nervous.
There is no need to reverse stop then put in drive again and then reverse again to get into a spot. I’ve valeted for years and although you can try to learn rules every time may be different. You can park successfully in one reverse motion every time by pulling ahead of the spot and using both mirrors to guide your way in. It takes practice but is very easy after a few tries.

This method is fine if you dont successfully get the car in the spot in one complete move. Everyone still needs to know how to correct themselves in the event they dont get it perfect ( not speaking of road tests, that you shouldnt have to correct if you studied or practiced enough, but this might save you if you get too close to the cone, its better to correct yourself, then to hit a cone) No one is perfect! This is still a great video. But yours is still ok feedback

Stay about 2-3 feet away from the parked cars while pulling up to ur spot Pull up so the back of your car is a little past your parking space Stop turn your wheel all the way to the right Slowly reverse into the spot Check your right side by looking out the window While reversing check your left mirror to see the cone Once the cone is in view you should be able to tell if you can keep going or having to pull forward! ** by pulling up farther in the start than what they said this gives you clearance to do it in one fluent motion , no need to pull forward unless your car is dumb big**

I’m 16 and my driving test is coming up in 2 weeks so I’ve been watching how to parallel and reverse park a lot plus my dad actually doing it and showing me how to do it. I’m good at driving already and parking normally but just need more practice with parallel and reverse parking then I’ll be good to go

It depends. If you want more turn you put it all the way to the right or half way, depending on the space.
When he went in reverse she should have said that you turn your wheel all the way to the right if you have to make a sharp right turn into the parking space (which was why he turned the wheel all the way to the right. But she was already off with her advice about making sure the bumper is lined up with the first cone. That’s why he had to turn that wheel so much. Thw turn was too sharp for a new driver. It may be better to teach people to line their bumper up to with the NEXT parking space’s line and then start backing in, thereby making a more gradual turn as they slowly turn the steering wheel to the right. That way the wheel turning wouldn’t be so drastic.

Once during a driving lesson I parked in reverse and I only knew it because I did it by unassuming my driving instructor said "wow you parked in reverse". It felt cool to have that happen during a driving lesson.

Since I’m from California this isn’t on our dmv test i have my license for few months now I taught myself how to reverse one time and came out successful so now 99% of time I reverse park everywhere I usually go
but for the road test i took if you put the car in drive while backing into a spot they take points off 😔

This wasn’t a requirement when I got my license but now it is apparently (but mind you I have never had to reverse park in my entire 5 years of driving) so me and my new driver friend are both learning 🤣

I get about a foot or two close to the side im parking in, line up my side view mirror just passed the second line, pull away to about a 45 degree angle (if space allows) and back in while working the steering wheel as needed. If i have to pull up to fix my self i will. Otherwise i can pull it off in one go. But theres many ways to do it.

How did the vehicle come to a complete stop at 2:03 while reversing. Did you press the brake down fully or shift gear into park
Im really confused! If i want to park, so i put the to R then if i want to move to the right so the i will turn the steering wheel to the right also? And if i moved to the left,so i need to move the wheel to the left side also?? 😢😢😢 sorry just askin 😢

Am having my test at the end of August 30th
A better way would be to drive up to the vehicle that’s parked and align your right mirror to the middle of the back of the car. Then you should drive and turn left while looking at the small window in the right back seat. Once you see a little bit of the vehicle in that window you can change to reverse and reverse back into the spot while looking at the left and right mirror to align the car. And that’s it you’re now parked perfectly in the spot.
I attempted to do this exact move in a test and the instructor REFUSED to let me drive forward to the left before backing in. She failed me because I 'didnt follow her directions', even though I parked the vehicle without any issue.

So I thought your supposed to look out the rear window at all times one hand on wheel one hand on headrest of passenger headrest and use your side mirror maybe every place is different?
You have to have this skill in your bag to be a successful driver

Hahah this is so muchhh easyyyy...but in saudia arabia only one time u can reverse the car and park it...u cant use front gare again if u put reverse gare once
Only problem with this video is that the driving skills test in Michigan doesn’t allow you to go forward to adjust your position without a penalty

Not going to lie ,hard to learn , you could to close or too far ,too curved or too curved to the other side , then not in between the white lines

Wow America got it easy
Its far easier to pull up and when your door is right in the middle of your spot, turn away from it until you're angled about 45 degrees then back in. No switching back into drive, no guessing how far away from the spot you need to be to make a 90 degree reverse turn, and its much quicker. Trust me, try this video method in a busy parking lot once and you'll want a better way of doing it.
You are so right! That was how I was taught during my driving lesson thus I was looking for videos of that style... I rarely get to park reverse as I normally park parallel or slant (the mall here has a slant parking which is kind of easy) so I am nervous doing reverse parking...
This is my struggle I failed usps driving test because of it😩
