  • I’d love to see a shop tour of your existing shop: tools and machines, layout, workflow, size. And then a floor plan of the new shop: size, layout, what issues your fixing/changes you’re making tools and machines you’re adding/removing plus considerations like future expansion, power, air filtration, etc.

  • being Dutch, I understand your entrepreneurial way of going forward. Being Dutch I also understand water a little bit. Might be a good idea to put a drainpipe, a big one, there where you plan to block the old way of accessing to your new site. Better safe than sorry,that's all I'm saying.   • How difficult is it to gather permits for this work? Here in the US, there'd be environmental impact studies, there'd be soil mitigation requirements and then after the State was satisfied, the local community would need planning commission blessings from the local and County boards!!!

  • I am so happy for you. I’d gladly live in your barn and be an apprentice, Man servant, Assistant…lol. We bought a 10 acre homestead in a populated rural area in the panhandle of WV. It is surrounded by orchards, west Va university farm co-op and corn fields. Got it 2 years ago and planned to really get out of the city. Well we just learned that a low level builder just bought the 120 acre farm across from us and they will be putting in entry level town homes. Only 59 acres is buildable and they have been approved for 500 homes on that land. The requested we give up an acre to build an easement to allow them easier access and be denied. He also wanted to see the land and 50% higher than market. They are unhappy with us. We went from having a wonderful property to a damn over populated area. I guess it’s a good thjng, I need both hips replaced so a lot of the work I planned I can’t do. We are going to sell and figure out something else
