Republicans just want to build a wall which will do approximately fuck all to disrupt the drug trade. Which of these would scare you more if your main business is selling drugs ILLEGALLY? A wall you can get around, or the elimination of your entire business model?

One side sees it as a failure and the other wants to keep doubling down (though as cannabis is being legalized, and they are seeing the tax revenue that could be brought in, they do seem to finally be starting to move on this issue a little bit, which I give them all the credit in the world for)

    • Stealth not required. When your drone has the radar signature of a migratory bird, it’s basically invisible and can penetrate miles into the US before it can swap payload for payment. The war on drugs is over. Drugs won. With current drone technology, these cartels can move hundreds of kilos of product in an evening and the US is powerless to defend against it. These things can be programmed to be 100% autonomous, zero radio emissions and cannot be heard from a few hundred feet up. Send a fleet of them in formation and they look like a flock of birds on radar. It’s all available online. You can buy them right now.

  • This also frames the wall wrong. The actual wall is only one part of the problem. The boarder wall plan is multi faceted and the wall would act as a force multiplier so they can work more efficiently with the resources they have right now. In short it is a game of whack a mole and right now they are dealing with way too many moles.

    @vagabondwastrel2361@vagabondwastrel23615 жыл бұрын
    • But in this case the holes the moles come out are tunnels that are miles long under the border and the wall does nothing to seal said tunnels. The right was concerned with tunnels for years then the second Trump mentions a wall tunnels don't exist anymore

      @jaredtimme5851@jaredtimme58515 жыл бұрын
    • You are conflating the issues. Look at what they want to do with the boarder. it isn't that they just want to put up a wall and pretend the boarder is 100% safe. The wall is to reduce the main influx of people and remove the catch and release. Until that happens ice is just pushing a bolder up a hill. The other issue is the media constantly edits his comments and statements. That is on top of him speaking to visualization. You can easily think of a large wall as apposed to a fifty three point boarder security plan. TL:DL if you fix the main population influx what is left are the tunnels and check point crossings. They get more scrutiny when the main problem is fixed.

    • Its because the cia are the biggest drug pushers on planet earth. If american gov themselves are making fortunes out of black market drugs, then why would they change this? Part of the reason for the vietnam war, was to get americans hooked on heroine. You see, all those soldiers going to asia, getting hooked, then coming home, and alot were hooked on heroine, by time they came back. Your own gov is doing this to you, ie usa gov, and especially the cia, who have every reason to keep all drugs illegal, so they can make make loads of money out of it. Probably the biggest reason over anything that americans became so hooked on drugs, was the vietnam war. People think the drug revolution would of happened without it. I doubt it. The vietnam war, probably made america the biggest hot bed for drug pushers on planet earth. It created a massive load of heroine users, ie soldiers coming home, hooked on heroine. This more then anything created what america is today, with there massive drug culture.
