Barber beats to relax/contemplate/hide bodies to
Mostly everything is plundered. This video was taken down exactly because of that fact.
One song was under copyright strike so I had to remove it.
If you enjoy barber beats, please be aware of the fact that mostly nothing is original work.
I will cite @lchampine's comment from his "Barber Beats but I tell you what all the samples are" video, it's really nicely put:
"The following things are all true:
1. The degree of "sampling" in BB is utterly egregious. People used to complain that vaporwave was "just slowing down someone else's music," but this is LITERALLY true of many BB tracks.
2. BB exposes people to music they would otherwise not have found.
3. Many people prefer the BB version of a track to the original. (Hell, I used to slow my favorite music down in Audacity long before BB was a thing.)
4. Like vaporwave, BB has an aesthetic component that alters the listener's perception of the music.
5. BB artists often admit upfront that their content is "plundered" or "stolen," rather than claiming it as their own. However, they rarely list the artists and tracks that they sample."

  • description goes so hard with the 5 things that BB is. i just prefer to say i like to listen to downtempo vaporwave because ill get crucified for saying i like "barber beats" plus i dont like the attitudes some BB artists have. i still like the music tho so idgaf

Some are chopped, some are pitched/slowed down, some are reverbed. To me, creation of these albums/mixtapes is all about the vibe...the feeling it delivers to you.   • I am one of the people that loved a track slowed down and it didnt hit that well in the original speed, for me. But I added the original artist out of respect and other stuff they had was more my schniz. Love the barberbeats. 😊
