    • I don't work anywhere near this field. But I thought I would share my thoughts Incase someone saw it useful. So an idea was, (for future use), guide the boat with yours, as you did, while waiting for a jet ski, Which would beach the boat "safely". Clear the crowd.

    • Yeah, i'm a boat mechanic, and i've worked on many sunken boats. the engine cowl is not water proof when under water, so the bottom 50% of your electronics are all gone here. Galvanic /dc current corrosion kills the rest of it a little while later. I just worked on a boat today that had 50cm of water in it during winter storage on land, and every single fuse and most wires even 2 metres up were corroded to hell.

  • I've saved many sinking boats, I'd suggest having a boat tied snug on either side. It takes away the risk of it completely submerging

    @tylerganton429@tylerganton4292 жыл бұрын
    • If it’s tied on the side is it possible your boat might flip if the sinking boat takes on too much water?

    • Evin having two boats one on each side gives more stability, I do race rescue for tunnel hull racing and I've towed many a boat taking on water if you just keep pulling they don't submerge you just then have to be quick with handoff of the tow rope don't miss your target that way they can pull it up on the trailer and get it out of the water we don't have fancy pumps to use so we just quickly get it hooked and tow it in keep it moving it doesn't sink we have lost race boats though that have sunk before we could even get near them

      @melindatippett4309@melindatippett43092 жыл бұрын
    • @@user-in8xx1xu5b if you have similar size boats that will not happen, the weight of a submerged boat is barely more than the weight of the water of the same volume therefore it puts very little downforce on the rescue boat it's attached to.
