Dante - has the more demonic sword - hates demons and his demon heritage Vergil - has the more human looking sword - refuses his human side

I wouldn't say Dante hates being a demon, he just doesn't care about being one as much as Vergil does, who was willing to go high and above to come close to being the demon his father was, maybe even more.

Virgil blocking bullet will always be badass
Yeah I always like how Dante over exaggerates his fighting style with goody moves and Virgil has his own way of doing that i.e. lining the bullets up in a line and smacking them back

I always love how Vergil sounds when Dante gets up. He isn’t shocked or worried, he just comes off as intrigued. Maybe even proud that Dante is beginning to fully awaken his Devil Powers.

Would it surprise you to know that the *music* was the main reason I kept playing Devil May Cry 3 when I first got it? I had never played the series before and had just struck out on my own and got a PlayStation 2 with my own hard-earned coin. -I was so proud of myself- I thought to myself _any game with a combat music_ this _hardcore has got to be worth it_

THIS is how you knew Vergil was gonna be a problem. Not only is he not affected in the slighest by Dante's tomfoolery, but he matches the vibe PERFECTLY
The fact he basically finishes off 2 bosses that Dante couldn’t is also wild.

After Dante gets stabbed I never thought he was reaching for the necklace. I always interpreted that as him reaching out to Vergil. But bro ain't having it and just throws in an extra slash at his hand as he falls. It wasn't even necessary at that point. The disrespect.

dante: what is this power vergil: motivation, you are experiencing the power of motivation it's interesting to see how in dmc 3, dante had awoken his demonic power due to being beaten by vergil but in dmc 5, vergil had awoken his true capabilities due to being beaten by dante. quite a fascinating parallel really

Plus the reversed reason. Dante here refused to acknowledge his demon side and gained the power he needed by finally accepting it. Vergil in DMCV finally accepts his human side and it gives him the power to match Dante. Both also ended up fully embracing both sides in DMCV as well, which is why they gain new Devil Triggers at the end and Dante even creates his own Devil Arm.

Now if only the company would realize this is actually popular and awesome and make more content for it, instead of sitting on their hands for years, still whining that DmC Devil May Cry reboot didn’t work so the series must not work -_- “Get ready to wait several years for DMC 6.” “3-4 years?” “Maybe longer…” -_- I never realized how much a company will reject money before finding this epic series -_- Only thing DMC related since 5 I’ve found is “Visions of V” and it’s Japanese only.

You can see that vergil was sincere about getting the power to protect those he loves , he had the ability to kill dante after he defeated him in that fight , yet he didn't

You are incredibly wrong, Vergil was absolutely down on fighting to the end right there and then, Arkham intervened to stop this from getting out of hand cause he needed both Dante and Vergil alive later on otherwise one of the two brothers would die fighting

We don’t see this kind of stuff anymore with modern games. Everything is a little too serious, sometimes the wacky woo-hoo moments are the gateway to being a great game
What games are you comparing this to?? A lot of games nowadays seem to be scared of being too serious out of fear of being called cheesy or corny, just look at DMCV compared to DMC1, DMCV tries to keep the upbeat feeling of hyper action and usually when it comes to Dante is always left to comedy besides very small moments, meanwhile in DMC1 you had more balance of when Dante was allowed to joke and when it's time to get serious, this happens with a lot of franchises as well

HD collection has inferior graphics to the PS2 original. With emulation you can enjoy the PS2 effects at increased resolutions.

@@liquidalumina7141 It's a big difference and yeah, a lot of people do. I've seen quite a few complain about how dated HD Collection looks. Thank CAPCOM's porting team for that. It doesn't do this masterpiece of a game justice.
Still my favorite dmc game
The weirdest part of this scene was always the hair. It's one of the major physical differences between Dante and Virgil. Virgil styles his hair with an overload of gel and hairspray, while Dante just doesn't give a fuck. Seeing the rain wash Virgil's hair gel away giving him the same hairstyle as Dante was totally weird to me at the time.

is it Vergil’s sword started the process of awakening Dante’s devil trigger but the rebellion is what his body needed to awaken it or rebellion reacted when Dante awakened his devil trigger from being stabbed by Yamato?
Dante’s body reacted to being stabbed by the rebellion which activated his DT, the Yamato had nothing to do with it

No but it’s speculated he must have screwed prior to this game’s events 😅 DMC 4 shows him strolling through the town before the events of DMC 3, and at the end, he catches the attention of an unknown woman. I have no idea how they came to, erm, further meet, but his final line in the DLC, he changes his opinion of the town, so it must have been before he left 😅

Probably only works on Vergil's blood since his father gave rebellion to Dante only assume that because we saw how Nero only one rebuild the Yamato when it was broken
@@x-angellovesnow-x974I’d say because Dante’s demonic blood hasn’t been properly activated yet so there wouldn’t really be a demon to separate, if anything, before his DT, he’s really just a suped up human able to withstand headshots from hand guns and walk around fine with weapons going through him
Also forgot strong enough to kill demons like Cerberus, Agni and Rudra, and so on without dt, they are also twins so their blood shouldn’t have any differences
@@personpeople2893 is that really why though? Even if the demonic power isn’t activated in Dante, isn’t the important thing just his demonic blood? I think V and Urizen are supposed to be manifestations of Vergil’s human and demon sides, similar to Griffon representing his nightmares. If having DT is so important to be able to separate a man from his demon form, then why does Vergil’s base/human form not look like V, nor his actual DT look like Urizen?

He loses against Nelo angelo round 1, loses here, and loses against Urizen at the beggining of 5. All being handed by Vergil. Also Dante has defeated Vergil 3 times. They are tied, which is cool.
