  • Imagine: You’re 19 years old, you get thrown into the biggest, craziest travelling circus in the world. You become an instant celebrity (yes, you were succesful in F2 but F1 is a different beast altogether in terms of fame and fandom) and the pressure is on every race weekend. Everyone wants something from you: an interview, a selfie, a chat, an autograph. It’s gotta be all too easy to lose yourself in a situation like that. But he remains professional, calm, courteous, considerate, funny, friendly and focussed. And he delivers, for his team! Major kudos to Lando. And his parents! He must have been brought up well.

    • JT Still... nothing can prepare a person for what’s happened this year. F2 and F1 are completely different beasts when it comes to fame and fandom. My point was that I admire his levelheadednes. And well... Max. I am Dutch and I root for him but I won’t exactly describe him as ‘calm’.... 😂 In spite of all the gaming he does too!!

    • JT Fame in F2 is different than fame in F1 though. I was at an event with both Max and Nyck de Vries attending once. Everyone wanted everything from Max and Nyck was just there.... (we talked to him for a bit, he seems like a nice guy). You are right about the anxiety. The fact that Lando deals with everything the way he does shows a maturity far beyond most 19-year olds I have met.

  • Haha......... I hate the impossible, seeing Lando growing up eventually. Really growing up! Although I think he has a strong head on his shoulders. As a long time race fan, I felt bored and started this season watching with lots of prejudice. And then there was my old favourite team back with Carlos and Lando.
