Yep. They blocked both ends of the highway, north and south and said they were only following orders. We had no cell phone service...but they had their radios. The road wasn't opened on the south end (only one lane) until around 4 pm. My whole neighborhood was a parking lot full of cars trying to get out. The cars in the back of the line didn't make it out...and survivors had already been in the floating in the harbor for over an hour before they opened the road. There was no reason for it to be blocked in the first place. Power lines were down, but the power had been turned off since early in the morning. It's also common knowledge that it's ok to drive over a downed power line as long as you don't get out of the car.

This country is a joke. I have friends that own their home with no mortgage & hundreds of thousands of dollars(some with millions) in the bank that got a stimulus check. And they were even looking and waiting for that free money. And those people in Maui that lost everything got $700. Thats a fucking joke! And stop sending our tax $ to the Ukraine and Gaza. The wind was crazy strong that day and was able to whip decent sized burning objects around, being close to flammable material didn't matter. All it would take is decent sized on fire object getting blown into car and caught around tire(s).
Wind feeds oxygen to fire and makes it burn hotter. It's the same principal as blacksmiths fanning air into their furnace so it's hotter than it would be otherwise.

I'm a Native Hawaiian born and raised on Maui and currently living here. Sad to see so many of my friends, family, and community members lose Everything they worked for. Conspiracy, yup, many believe. $700 yup a slap in the face. FEMA/Red Cross came and were surprised the local community was already set-up with shelters, food, water, clothin, etc. What's to come no one knows as many have moved on to the mainland or different places. Being a Native Hawaiian feels like an endangered species as more Hawaiians live elsewhere but Hawaii, as the government keeps making it tougher for the Native people. My heart and praye continue for the people of Maui, especially Lahaina area. Maui No Ka Oi.

Victims are being forced out hotels for tourism. There is not enough housing on the island. You sell pennies on the dollar.

I know people who burned in the fires I have friends committed suicide after the fires I cut trees and I was there the day after the fires looking at the fire and the trees very very suspicious houses would burn and all the trees and shrubs and flowers in the yard didn’t

Maui was almost a duplicate of the Paridise fire( including the direct energy theroy) I live there 10 years, & I saw all the videos, & it wasn't normal. Cars melted in parking lots,with no trees or folage within 50 yards from it. Trees burned from the inside, a lot of weird things. My grand daughters house burned & her & her husband barely got out alive. You can't make jokes & laugh unless you were trying to get out through the flames. Make all the excuses you want, but 85 people died & 60 thousand houses were burned down, & that doesn't include businesses. Also they had to removed all the top soil because it was contained. That was 2017, my grand daughter & husband just moved back in a double wide, that's 7 years. So it may be funny to you, no matter how it started, but people dide, * many lives were ruined. At least the one & only road from paradise to Chico was open, but a lit of people had to drive through flames, including my grand daughter & her husband. Who lost everything but the clothes on their back, thats how close it was. ThanknGod, ...that was 2017, I now have a great grand son.

Thank you for being empathetic to the people who have suffered such a terrible loss. I lost everything I owned in the Alameda Wildfire, and people act like when u lose everything like that, u can just go on and live normal. Being emergency evacuated and losing everything, including every picture, every momento, every item that tangibly represents your life is soul destroying. It’s been 4 years and I’m still reminded of the fire nearly every day. You never financially recover from that kind of loss, and when people make jokes about it, it makes me 😡. The comment I hate the most is, “well, at least you made it out alive”. It’s such a selfish statement to make. When people say that, what they actually mean is that they don’t want to acknowledge the devastation that you’re experiencing, so they minimize your loss by stating it could have been worse, therefor you shouldn’t be upset & they don’t want to hear it. Unless someone has experienced the devastation and horror of losing everything they own in a wildfire, they should be more careful of what they say. People act like you lose everything like that and are able to just go shopping the next day to replace the items you lost. That could not be further from the truth for 99% of wildfire victims. Losing everything like that feels like losing a part of your heart and soul that you can never get back. The trauma stays with you and the smell of smoke can send you into a full blown panic attack or emotional breakdown for years afterwards.
The single best comment about losing all in a fire. I for one would like to hear your story. I’m very sorry this happened to you. I have no idea how that feels. I try to imagine and my brain won’t even let me.

The U.S. government does not own any of the technology they use in the military, they just putchase it from military contractors like Lockheed Martin. My background is in natural resource management, and knowing we've a fire grass issue on the leeward side of your neighbor island that was my first assumption along with citizen arsonists. What was done to YOU and your home was sinisterly deeper. I know it may be hard to grasp or accept that your (captured) government (corporation) would intentionally do any harm but that is absolutely the case. I hope that you are recovering, as much as one can with the doots show that continues. I truly don't think the State is finished acquiring land on the entire west side.

Government battles with haiwan elders for their sacred land Won in court that they can keep it from developers unless natural disaster ever happens there Fires happened Insurance companies won’t help because of some silly stuff Land or whatever organizations already trying to buy land from people with burnt homes Media says 80 deaths only one fireMan alone said he pulled out 80 people People who live there are saying the death toll is over 1000 bodies floating in the ocean Media not allowed to go in and take video No one allowed to send supplies Only allowed to send to fema and Red Cross for them to distribute They aren’t giving out any food or supplies People not allowed to leave homes in some places People issued “orange cards” Law enforcement blocked roads so people couldn’t leave Everyone saying dew Homeowner was fighting fire away from his house with hose They shut water off Fire trucks couldn’t refill water There is footage of all of this. People who live there talking about it. There is footage of cars and houses smoked. Cars melted. The trees look untouched. That doesn’t make sense. But it does! Video of guy saying how he questioned cop who was blocking people from leaving. Guy also says he heard loud booms. Children were home. School was cancelled that day. The “fires” melted glass and vehicle engine blocks….. trees close by… Awhile ago china was beaming a green laser from a satellite or plane or something over Hawaii. There is footage. 3 days after this attack or “wildfire” china came out and said they now have functional laser weapons.

Yes, the trees burned from the inside, out. In some areas, where everything was gone, there was a hammock, untouched. Most people weren't allowed to go back onto their properties. They are having to pay their mortgages, & escalating rent...most are still without work. A SMART CITY had been proposed, but the people were not willing to sell. The list goes on... Chili, (also had a smart city proposal), & Texas (devastating cattle industry to push the "meatless" itinerary), are only 2 more in the growing list of "natural disasters"...

Here's a quick breakdown of what I can remember while I was researching this back during this catastrophe: - The most insane all-island alarm system that was made for emergencies JUST LIKE THIS were purposely not sounded. - Water was refused to the firefighters and the Lahaina community during. - I can't even remember the tragically high number of children who went missing. - Drivers were directed BACK INTO Lahaina while it was burning to the ground, only people who survived disobeyed police orders. - Something like $700 was offered to a tiny portion of residents, most of those residents didn't even receive it. - Lasers were absolutely seen, comprehend that however you want - Ground zero was almost immediately surrounded by black fencing and unmarked non-police vehicles with personnel keeping people away from going into the town even to retrieve any possibility of their things after the fires were out. - Loooot of blue shit wasn't burned.. dunno what to think about that. - Elites were in one of the next towns over deciding some shady shit that I can't remember. - Maui governor I believe had been talking for years about making the island the first "smart island" whilst trying to shark people out of their homes. I didn't hear of anybody receiving any kind of punishment for this, nor does anybody take any responsibility. I seriously can't even remember everything I learned about this tragedy, most of it coming from channels like Hustle Bitch (Joe or anyone who knows him if you see this PLEASE get him on your show to discuss this). Keep this list going, can anyone add some more details that I missed?
There were windshields of cars that were completely melted which takes a TREMENDOUS amount of heat that a forest fire couldn't even come close to. One video I saw was of a car that was in a dirt parking lot that was quite a ways away from any trees yet it was completely melted. Not only that but shrubbery in the dirt around it was intact and not burnt at all!!! It is sooo sickening what happened there...

There were 9 road blocks! It took 17 minutes for the blaze to rip through the town yet only 99 died? Yea right. FEMA turned locals away who were trying to bring supplies to survivors, even though FEMA didn't bring anything for them. Look into JumpSmart Maui; some of the foundation for a smart island had already been laid years ago. An unelected planning committee had already mapped a "green transportation corridor" through the burn area. Governor Green announced to the press "we're already looking into ways for the State to acquire the land" less than 24 friggin hours after the incineration! (the biggest red flag to me). That hurricane they want to blame was 500 miles away from us. Military choppers were seen/recorded flying that day and night, so the winds weren't raging as an excuse for letting people drown. As for the blue roof thing and people who don't believe the tech exists, there's a R&D site called AMOS owned by the Rand Corp on the island. I'm sure I forgot something.

I was in Lahaina about a month before this tragedy. The place was an absolute tinder box, particularly in the area east of the town where the fire started. Living in CA, have seen first hand how quickly a fire will get out of control with high winds.

The houses with blue roof homes did not burn. Several celebrities had their roofs painted blue weeks prior to the fire. Across the town, there were instances of cars sitting in the middle of a parking that burned so hot they melted, but nothing else burned within 30-100 yards.
There was a house with a red roof that didn't have any damage as well or on the property the house was on so it wasn't just houses with blue roofs.
