As a result, we've left out Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock Stratocaster (reportedly sold for $1.3m in 1993 to Microsoft's Paul Allen) and the infamous Peter Green/Gary Moore Les Paul, for which Kirk Hammett allegedly paid $2 million in 2014.Nov 23, 2021

  • I was one of those kids who waited all night in line around the movie theater to see Star Wars when it came out in '78. This was before there were multi-plex theaters, so one theater showing one movie. You got your ticket and waited in line for the movie to finish and as the theater filled up, you moved up in line. It took half a day to finally be seated. ALL the kids on my block (10 in all) collected the figurines, the blasters, ships and anything Star Wars. What kills me is I had ten of the Vinyl-caped Jawas and seven Tusken Raiders, but of course we played with them. That Storm Trooper does not look like the clean lines of the ones we had, but the glimpse in this episode may just be lighting. Oh, the memories... why did I have ten Jawas? I also had the Jawa Sand Crawler filled with 'Droids and droid parts. When I was fourteen in '82 my dad said I was too old to play with dolls and we sold the entire collection for $40 at a garage sale... same with my 12" GI Joe collection (the ones with the fuzzy hair and all the different uniforms, the headquarters (with search light) and Jeep. It kills me to know the value of those toys today if only we listened to my mom, a professional doll collector, to "keep some of them in the box, put them in her storeroom and leave them there for when we grew up". Ugh...

Unrealistic asking prices and/or raising the price immediately prior to filming for purposes of being on TV will result in cancellation of the scene and will never be aired on Pawn Stars* If you have previously posted an online auction listing for your item please remove it immediately. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your item will be sold to the shop. You will be required to fill out some paperwork prior to filming that will include an appearance release and a nondisclosure agreement. Please note that you will be the only person to appear on camera. If you do not wish to be the seller, let us know the name of the person that will be appearing on camera. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member into the shop with you during the filming, but they will not appear on camera. They can stand off camera, near the production crew, only you will appear on camera during the taping. The main focus of this is the hopeful sale of your item. We ask that you treat the guys as normal employees and hold off on any requests until after the scene has been completely filmed (e.g., photographs). Lastly, but most importantly, be sure to bring your A+ personality - don't be shy or afraid to crack a few jokes in the scene, we want you to be comfortable and have fun with it! "
