    • Not the experts fault. Kid should’ve just invested in getting the gun fixed himself then sold it. Would’ve net between $2000 to $4000 if he had. He was literally standing right there when the expert said all that stuff. Could’ve just asked the expert right then and there to restore it for him.

He was standing right there when the guy said “I could fix it for $1000 and you could sell if for at least $3000.” He should’ve realized right there that if he paid that guy to fix it up himself, he would’ve made at least $2000 after selling it. • @@RoflCannon6 yup, your argument has valid point..but...maybe the kid didn't have the 1k to get it fixed. If he could get the 1k, maybe by borrowing from someone, he would still need some database of clients to sell it for 3k. If had brought it back to the pawn shop to have it sold for 3k, he'd never get that amount from rick..maybe he would get around 1.5k, so he would actually only score $300 more than $200. That'll be $500 instead of $200 and not forgetting if there's no urgency in getting the amount. Even if the kid had the 1k, he would still need to wait for the restoration to complete, that could take up to few months...so...still, I guess my point on the expert lying with intent to profit is rather true.

  • How did the other Rick restore the complex mechanism in that old candy machine for only $4500. I mean unless he came across a doner machine. The amount of custom machining and fabrication would have took weeks.

  • 300 year old gun assumed to be worth $3,000. Dude wants $500. Says it would take $1,000 to restore it, worth atleast $3,000 after that. So spend $1,500 and get atleast $3,000. said “it’s risky” after he hears how much he will get after it’s restored and it’s actual historical…gives $200. His expert “REMEMBER, if it fires correctly it could be $5,000.” Now you know this guy is not worth doing business with even if it was capped at $3,000 after restoration $500 was A fair price being that it’s history it’s A shame it allegedly fell into the hands of someone who didn’t even take the time to look up the history or worth and even after hearing the worth compromised for $200 which he will be using for A “new wardrobe”. This pawn show sucks.
