  • Why did you start working out? How do you get yourself to workout when you don't want to?

    • As most 16 year old boys, I wanted to get bigger and stronger, the 90's movie stars played a part for sure. 31 years later, slightly broken, but still big and strong 😎 Relying on motivation is never going to work, just do it, like a job, don't negotiate with yourself. The older and more broken I get, the less fun it is, but I still do it and always will.

    • I fell and landed on my shoulder which then needed rehab and around that time a gym opened right where I worked so I tried it out. To get to the gym, pack the bag the day before and just get yourself out the door.

    • It was my 15th or 16th birthday, I reminisced on what I had done in the year passed and soon realized I had just been playing on the computer and drinking copious amounts of soda. I thought, "Well, that's lame, I don't want to be that", so I started exercising.

  • As a skinny kid during the 80's who watched a lot of action movies starring arnie, stallone, van damme I did alot of press ups sit ups and chair dips every day, I looked ripped as a result but wanted to be big Then eventually got a really cheap york vinyl dumbbell set from the shop (Argos) thinking if i shadow boxed whilst holding them ill get big lol. They came with a foldout sheet of exercise diagrams with at least one exercise for every muscle group. I just did 3x sets for every excercise on that sheet every other day ( x3 a week) to absolute failure, and from there on fell in love with lifting

  • When I was 27 (30 now) my fiance left me. I looked in the mirror at my fat self and reflected on what a terrible boyfriend/father/son I was and felt nothing but hatred towards myself. I used that hatred to fuel myself in the gym and changed my lifestyle completely. Somebody made a comment the other day that I must use steroids, which made me very happy because I'm natural. People like you are the reason I found the motivation to stay on this path.

  • @jujimufu I love this! I stopped training as I fell into depression for *reasons* and I've been struggling for a long time to find the inspiration to start training again (knowing full well if I get back int o it, it'll make me happier). Please do continue with inspirational/motivational videos - I won't be the only one. There is a suprisingly small amount of help to get you back on the weights if you are struggling. However this has helped me *I say drinking beer and eating pringles*, BUT! I'm a week or so back into picking up weights and this has only helped me in my determination to continue lifting, get strong again, and enjoy it! Thank you and keep inspiring :D
