For about 20 years, the New England Patriots led by the domination of Tom Brady, the cold and calculated nature of Bill Belichick, and the ownership of Robert Kraft were the most unstoppable team in the NFL and solidified themselves as the NFL's greatest dynasty. So join me as we look back at this fallen dynasty to see how they rose to power, maintained their position in the NFL hierarchy for so long, and how it all came crumbling down. Anyway, if you enjoyed this video at all then like and comment if you want, and you can even subscribe if you think I've earned it.
With the NFL documentary set to release on the football analysis behind the New England Patriots, we'll see other football stories NFL players will reveal. Tom Grossi and others like Thatsgoodsports will have to see if the Tom Brady highlights provided can help to improve the Pat Mcafee show. We could also see deep dives from the secret base following the return of Mikerphone and other types of NFL history videos.

Most dynasties are the clear cut best team and win for about 5-6 years and after 3 Super Bowls, they flame out. The best ones like the Steelers and 49ers mantain it for a decade and get 4. The Patriots not only were the team to beat for 20 years, in-line other dynasties, they did it in an era with the salary cap and increased roster turnover via free agency.

  • I remember as a 90s kid in Massachusetts, at least in my house/school/ the Patriots weren't really a thing. We didn't talk about them, it was all about the Red Sox and the Celtics, heck I knew kids who were more into the Bruins than the Patriots. Only knew one teacher who had anything Patriots themed in her classroom and even then it was up in a corner. Then we move away from Massachusetts, Tom Brady gets in, and the Dynasty is born. And you know what's funny, people talk more about the 07-18 Patriots more than they talk about the 00-06 Patriots UNLESS, it's about the Tuck Rule. Like do people even remember who the 2003 Panthers were? or the 04 Eagles? but say Malcolm Butler or 28-3 or Nick Foles and they instantly know which Bowl you're talking about.

You show me a single coach and owner that would sit down The Highest paid quarterback at that time (Bledsoe) for an unproven second year 6th round draft pick. Belicheck was also the GM, who brought the right players in to compliment Brady.. Yes the quarterback is the most important player on each Team. So was Bill Walsh not as important as Joe Montana. Terry Bradshaw or Chuck Knolls defense more responsible for the Steelers Dynasty. Let's look at Dan Marino, by far an all around better Quarterback than Brady with the win ingest coach of all time. Only got to 1 Superbowl. It takes 53 player to complete an NFL roster. Not 1 single player is any teams reason for their teams success.

  • 6:45 It’s not just that they passed him up a couple times when he fell to the 6th round. It’s that they even took a QB at all. Seriously name me a single QB DRAFTED as a 4th stringer in the NFL. Just ONE!!! I’ll Wait!! The fact that Belichick in his first year with a Full QB room even looked at any QBs for the draft let alone actually took one is the most obvious Red Flag in itself. Belichick still had zero need at QB literally 20 straight years after that and yet since 2000 no team outside the Fing Jets has drafted more QBs than him and the Patriots!!!!! Literally spent more than DOUBLE! The amount of Day 2 or higher picks on QBs than Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees teams did in their tenures COMBINED!!!!!! To say that Belichick approached and treated the QB position “differently” than everyone else would be a massive Understatement!!! And I say Differently in quotes because I mean differently in a bad way!!!! No HC or GM once they have a franchise QB let alone the mfing GOAT!! Should ever even remotely be thinking about spending on other QBs unless they are in desperate need of a backup because their starter is injury prone or they have the have the absolute most Perfect and best possible opportunity to replace them otherwise it would be seen as a complete Waste!!! Belichick had Neither!!! And yet he was still picking QBs and spending high value picks on them left and right as much as anyone with an actual Need at that position would!!!! Belichick NEVER signed Brady to a long term contract!!!!!!! His best succession plan was Jimmy Fing G!!!! And even when that failed he still moved off of him just two years later because he wasn’t willing to give him an AVERAGE QB salary for 2 measly years!!!!!!!!! And even if you say Belichick thought he was washed!!! What does that say about his ability to evaluate QBs if he couldn’t even tell TB12 of all QBs wasn’t washed!!!! The reason Belichick always treats his QBs like any other replaceable position on the team and the reason why he would even think about spending an entire draft pick on a 4th string QB in 2000. Is that his “SYSTEM” has such an abysmal track record with QBs that he feels the need to always get in fresh bodies in the building so it’ll increase the chances that one of them is able to pick it up!!! You heard of Belichicks resume and how bad it is with and without Brady. But what you don’t know is that it’s so bad that literally 80%+ of every Coach that’s even ever MADE the Super Bowl let alone actually won it or made the Hall of Fame has a better record without an All Pro QB, let alone an MVP or Hall of Fame QB THAN BELICHICK!!!!! And for as BIG as the GAP in Belichicks resume with and without Brady is. That GAP is specifically caused by the BIGGER GAP between his offensive production with and without Brady. And that GAP in his offenses is even more specifically caused by the EVEN BIGGER GAP in his track record with Passing Production and QB Development with and without the GOAT QB!!!!! Belichicks teams have ranked in the top 10 in Win%, Point Differential, Yard Differential, and Turnover Differential 3X more Often with Brady than without. Belichicks Offenses have ranked in the top 10 in Points, Yards, and Least Turnovers 4X more Often with Brady than without. Belichicks Passing Offenses have ranked in the top 10 in Passing Attempts, Yards, TDs, and Least INTs 5X more Often with Brady than without. But yea he has a SYSTEM!!!!!! And one churn out Elite Offenses year in and Year out at will and turn any short white gritty slot receivers into stars with “Any Average QB”!!!!! Sure let’s say all of that was Belichick Genius Scheme and NOT the guy actually throwing them the fing ball!!!!! Gimme a break. Nobody said anywhere near the same thing about Montana and he actually had a Hall of Fame “Offensive” HC that invented a system that revolutionized the game whose name is also coincidentally Bill. And he played with a franchise that was so stacked and great at team building that they literally supported his fing backup into another Hall of Fame career who put up even better stats and led even better offenses than he did winning the Super Bowl less than 4 years after they moved off of him. How have the Patriots done with supporting their next QB? Is their offense looking better?? It’s also been 4 years have the Patriots actually been anywhere close to winning a Super Bowl??? I mean the 49ers are still able to put together Super Bowl contending rosters 20-30+ years later. And whenever you anyone talking about the 49ers dynasty especially 49ers fans they’ll never say anything about anyone walking into the “perfect situation”. I mean Jesus Christ you talk about Bill not having a fair shot as if 188 total games and 11 full seasons with 2 different stretches of 4 straight years as BOTH HC AND GM is a small mfing sample size or something. Don’t Try and Sugar Coat it. Belichicks track record with developing QBs is absolutely Terrible!!!! Every single Pro Bowl QB he’s ever coached has either regressed to play some of the worst football of their careers under him or made Pro Bowls by playing some of the best football of their careers Immediately after leaving him or BOTH!!!!! He ruined former 1st Overall Pick Brown Franchise QB Bernie Kozar. Cutting him in 1993 after only 2.5 seasons together with him regressing mightily each and every year!!! Sound Familiar??? He was able to carry former 1st Overall Pick Vinny Testeverte to a successful season thanks to one of his statistically best number 1 defenses of his career in 1994. But was still holding Vinny back so much that not only did he regress even harder than Kosar did the next year in 1995 but he actually put up 4k+ yards and 30+ tds (Back when that actually meant something) making his first pro bowl the very next year after the Browns Fired Belichick and moved to Baltimore in 1996. And we all know just how well he did with former 1st Overall Pick Patriots Franchise QB Drew Bledsoe in 2000 when he put up what was his worst season of his career up until that point which was coincidentally the worst offensive season Kraft had ever had under either Parcells or Carroll. Belichick has lost more games when holding the teams to 10 or fewer points than anyone else in history and the first 2 times he did that was with Bledsoe!! Bledsoe would go on to put up one of his very best statistical seasons of his career and make another Pro Bowl after getting traded to the Bills in 2002!! Heck even Matt Cassell who only played 1 year with Belichick with the same team that literally almost went undefeated STILL had an even better year and made his first Pro Bowl elsewhere on a much less talented cheifs team with Todd Haley in 2010. Belichick is a great “Defensive” Mind. Probably the Greatest “Defensive” Coach in NFL History and definitely NOT a Bad “Defensive” GM either. But for as Great as he is in the Defensive side he is straight up Terrible on the offensive side!!! Since 2000 the Patriots have had the 4th most Pro Bowlers and 2nd most All Pros on Defense!! However since 2000 they’ve also had the 30th most Pro Bowlers and 28th Most All Pros on Offense!!! It’s never been about Belichick the GM vs Belichick the HC. It’s always been about him as an Offensive Mind vs him as a Defensive Mind!!! That’s why he spent a draft pick on a 4th string QB and has always taken QBs even when he had ZERO NEED!!!! What other conceivable or possible explanation otherwise would he have possible had for why he picked a QB in 2000? NONE.

  • I think the biggest butterfly effect in history is the tuck rule, if it went in the raiders favor the patriots don’t win that first Super Bowl and miss playoffs next year and belichick and Brady could’ve never been a dynasty together then dungy wouldn’t of been forced out to Indianapolis by Jon gruden who led the bucs to a Super Bowl and then the raiders have the possibility of becoming a dynasty or at least not being the worst team for the next 5 years after the Super Bowl.
