How to Break Fallout 4 (MIRV Minigun)

A detailed guide on how to be op and break Fallout 4.
By combining the craft-select glitch and the mod-swap glitch you can make a game-breaking build.
Requires no perks or levels. Can be done on both console and PC. The most recent version of Fallout 4 has been used to make this video.

There are 2 glitches here.
First one is the craft-select glitch. This glitch enables you to create high-level mods without the requirements needed.
On consoles, you can make a mod directly beneath the one you can already create. Note that its "create" not "attach".
On PC you can make any mod on the same page by using the mouse cursor, making it even more broken.

The second one is the mod-swap glitch. This glitch lets you put almost any mod on any weapon.

Part 1. Bat + Knife/Ripper
This glitch requires the Nuka Cola DLC.
By making a strong baseball bat mod using the craft-select glitch, and then putting it on a fast weapon such as the combat knife or the ripper, you can make a weapon that does insane DPS on level 1.
Part 2. MIRV + Minigun
This glitch requires the Far Habor DLC.
Since you need to "create" a mod the Fat Man cannot be craft-selected normally. However by using a unique Fat Man called "The Striker" you can actually craft the standard launcher and to an extent, the MIRV mod. Slap this on the minigun and the game is broken.
p.s. The Striker is a unique weapon, so you'll need another Fat Man to do this.

    • that's just what happens when you nuke things in game. realistically the same would happen, you'd either be blinded by it and then recover after some minutes or be permanently blind.

  • I love how it even combines visual elements from both weapons into a new and far superior one with this glitch (You would think it would just show the primary weapon or it would become completely invis or something). It's absolutely amazing.

    • something to do with how the models work. From what I can tell each weapon is made up of seperate models that are swapped out depending on your mods. In the case of glitched weapons like thit i just sticks the usual model (the MIRV cannon) where a mod of the same type (the minigun barrel) would go. It works out surprisingly well in this case.

  • I have to really say big thank you for this video. With these easy money-saving steps, I was able to break my survival: I combined super sledge with stun pack to a ripper, the result was that the now called Shreddin' Sledge stuns the enemy about every other hit, so you can imagine all the wild beasts of fallout 4 just basicly twitching at the hands of sole survivor. It just works!

  • This reminds me of the New Vegas glitch where you could put ammo to your hotkeys and use them with the Laser Detonator from Lonesome Road. The Mini-Nuke Tiny Tots ammo was basically a MIRV, and it would crash after like 2 seconds of constant shooting

  • Also to make an INCREDIBLY strong melee weapon, I have put together a little guide (No glitches needed) 1. Make a build with Max Strength, 1 below max agility, dump rest into Endurance. 2. Go to Diamond city and loot one of the supermutants for their board (unless you already have one) 3. Go to West Everett Estates (Just north of Dia city, same place as the ripper in this video) 4. Kill Hammer and get the supersledge 5. Use this glitch to put the board's "Bladed" attachment onto the Supersledge. (Needs blacksmith 1, and Blitz 1 helps alot, rest of perks up to you) This basically DOUBLES the super sledges' damage, going from 95 -> 185 and it adds bleed damage If you get a few perks to make this do more damage (I think only like 4 tiers total), I got it up to doing 350 damage by level 18 (Although I was in P.A. that granted +1 STR)

  • Small (possible?) correction worth noting: ignoring the T-45 and swiping the minigun from the roof of the Museum of Freedom requires at least 8 Strength. So if you don't have that, you'll need to enter the armor and loot it before you can use it. ...Granted, that only takes like 10 extra seconds, but I figured I'd mention it just in case! xD

  • On PC you have to push E and then move to the mod you can't craft about 1 second after pushing E. You wanna hover over the mod you want almost exactly at the same time the menu to craft comes up, which is about a second after pushing E.

  • I wonder if this would work in Fallout 76... UPDATE: I tried it, it doesn't work, at least not as it would in Fallout 4. In 4, the game pauses when you confirm scrapping and crafting, so you're able to pull off the exploit, but since 76 is online, it never pauses, and so the exploit can't work.

  • One would expect that the glitched weapon would lose the model and be invisible or some other secondary effect, but it just works. I mean it even looks cool! Also gotta love Todd's policy on glitches: - Will this glitch have a negative effect on sales? If not, don't spend money fixing it.

  • The bug that allow you place other weapon attachments on other guns was one of the most customizable and amazing glitches in existence. Put a mini nuke on a automatic pipe pistol and made my game freeze everytime I shoot too much on my ps4.
