For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.

  • I didn't notice it in the theater but now that I rewatch the scene, I realized something. This scene perfectly shows that Tobey is the most experienced spidey. Spidey sense is insanely OP in the comics, an experienced spidey is basically omniscient so the fact that he could sense the other Peters shows that he has great degree of control over his spidey sense. Also, the fact that he quickly spotted that Andrew used a device to shoot his webs and it wasn't natural was also a sign of this. I love this little indication that he is better at using his powers rather than a loud display like a head-to-head fight or battle of reflexes.

    • I don't think he knew Andrew used a device to shoot web. That's because in a later scene where the 3 of them are working to make the cures for the villains, Tobey asks Tom what his web shooter is and he's surprised to learn Tom can't shoot webs naturally. So he probably didn't know Andrew also used a device. He just webbed his arm because that's where the web comes from.

It is super weird if u are a superhero responding to a stranger calling to ur real name. Maybe i forgot some tiny details before... But the other weird thing is Tobey calmly goes into random portal and said "Ive seen you two". When?? And he immediately knows Andrew is not Ned and MJ's friend like how?? I repeated the movie a few times but still cant figure out. My best thought is it was all Peter tingles. Also maybe my English is bad, sorry

    • Honestly, I think it comes from the fact that every time there's a new version you have a bunch of wannabe fanboys talking about how the new version is "the best and truest to the comics" and go out of their way to rag on the old versions. Causing fans of the old versions to thereby get defensive and critical about the newer versions. Personally, I think Tobey is the best simply because he had the best movies and best characterization of the three. The latter two are in more Hollywoody plot driven movies, whereas there was a lot more character and emotional depth in the original 3. But I respect anyone who prefers the newer versions. I don't think any one of them has been miscast or bad. They all seem to approach the character with passion and dignity.

But i really love them all i dont have a bias bc toby was the first i saw i just find his acting, looks, development, voice, just everything really better and more fit to an "OG" peter parker. Kind of like how robert downey jr was just made for tony starks character like a perfect fit i feel the same in regards Toby's peter parker character in live action standards.

My brother in the other hand knew it no way could’ve been Tom because why would Peter be showing up so soon just after a tragic thing happened to him. My brother is smart.

Most of us went our separate ways, but we managed to keep in touch through socials. I love them all to death.

  • This film made me realize that as much as I love Tobey and Tom as Spiderman/Peter Andrew Garfield actually embodies the character the best. So sad his films were the worst, with good writing and direction he would have had the best trilogy. He and Ema Stone also had the best chemistry. Still, all 3 are amazing.

We all knew from the trailers who all were gonna be in this movie, but just the anticipation of seeing actually happen in a dark theater room literally gave goosebumps. Also the audience reaction made it SO MUCH BETTER. Definitely gotta see in theaters for the first time watch.
