FIRST LOOK: The Gladiator gets a refresh for 2024 from Jeep. On the outside you will find the new grill, windshield, wheels and exterior color. On the inside the biggest change is the all new infotainment system with UCONNECT 5. Under the hood you will still have your choice of different engine options. sorry to be THAT GUY but i have to correct your mistakes- no power sliding roof option. no hybrid option and no diesel engine option on the 2024. its a 12.3" screen not 10"
I have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. It has the slide sunroof all the way to back. It’s hybrid with a 12.3 screen. It’s this color also

Only one engine option 3.6 v6. No diesel or hybrid . And those are the half doors not standard. Beautiful truck .

As always, Joe and Lori, a great review! Like many of the updates on the '24 Gladiator, just one thing missing - a 392! I've got a '21 Rubicon Gladiator. My wife drives a '22 392 Wrangler. When she starts hers, I can't hear mine, it's wimpy! Come-on, Jeep!

I don’t think it was mentioned in the video but the doors do appear to be shorter as well. Window opening looks a lot larger.
These are half doors. No windows in these. They’re an option, not standard.
Great review as always. Straight Axle gang only has one choice in the mid-size p/u class. Joe, it would be nice if you would include the actual wattage of the power supply. Thank for the review.

Is the stock 2023 as good as the 2024. I want to save a little money, and are the stock upgrades worth it for the 2024? I'm a newbie to Jeep and a little confused.
Great review as always Joe! I'd buy this thing ASAP if they put the 392 engine in it! Haha just kidding...It's a super capable vehicle but I can't stand driving it longer than 2-3 hours on the highway. The amount of wandering caused by the solid front axle is just tiring. I wish they have lane centering in these Jeeps. Also, $65K? That's a lot of money for a mid size truck! Colorado ZR2 is like $10K cheaper and that's a much more pleasant truck to drive.
I own a Gladiator Mojave and 100% agree with you. Driving around town ... no problem. But highway driving is a challenge. The one thing the steering does is keep me alert. I can't be day dreaming driving or in deep thought with this thing on the highway for an extended period. I also have the thick heavy tread mud tires which makes it worse because they seem to bounce around a bit. At least that's how it feels. Nothing terrible just an uneasy feeling when driving over 70mph.
How is the towing capacity?

It's true, as a proud owner of a 2020 JL Rubicon, I've only washed my jeep once and that's because I took it on an offroad trail that's shared by horses.
I'm glad Jeep didn't go to a digital mph/tach readout. Analog needles just look badass up front.
I can't wait to check out the Gladiator 4xe next time that I'm at my Jeep dealership.

I'm just waiting to see if there will be a 4xe gladiator next year before I pull the trigger. I had a '22 but I didn't like the small 7" screen and my wife hated it bc it was a manual and she refused to learn. Lol. I can't wait to get back into one

That tweaked grill will also fit on 23 Wranglers and earlier. I think the move to a windshield antenna is a bad idea, as that only makes replacement Wrangler windshields more expensive. A $15 rubber stubby antenna easily fixed the old metal mast antenna on previous model Wranglers.

I'm jealous! I have a 2021 Gladiator Mojave. Its great except ... on the highway. Its a bit squirely driving at over 70mph. I heard the new 2024 is much better behaving at high speeds. Also the breaking on mine is a bit to be desired. Its ok but its not a quick stop. I hope Jeep also improved that.
Nothing was changed from 21-24.

as far as I can tell, its a 12.3 inch screen? Also, ditto for previous comment aobut engines. Wrangler have other powertrians, but Gladiator only got 3.6L V6 BUT it sitll has a 6 speed manual. I loe that combo, though I did have a '21 4xe Rubi, and LOVE that engine/motor combo!) Infotainment is good on jeep. GREAT interior upgrade. I love the 4xe Wrangler RUbicon, but I need the cargo bed. I was hoping 2024 would add gladiator 4xe, but oh, well. I like the FIrecracker color (Classic)< I LOVE the hydro blue even more, but that yellow is jsut outstanding! I want one, I can't wait for hybrid now, and may get one now and trade it in for a PHEV later. also not mentioned are the towing and paylod increases! RUBICON gets 7700 lb towing and 1700 payload! (other companies list higher payloads on a base two door truck that match this, none will have this type of paylod and towing for their top of the line off road models! way to go Jeep! WIth those numbers the only thing I'd like about a diesel would be better MPG (same for hybrid, plust the immediate toque off road of the electric motors was amazing!) but with the diesel youdid loose 1000 pounds towing and paylod went down from like 1200 to about 900 lb on previous models (2020-2023). SO, again, good job Jeep! You sold me and I"m heading to fine one!
Really wish they would’ve done something big with the Gladiator. The 3.6 is fine, but they really needed the 4xe, especially with how they talked up the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee 4xe’s for the first 10 minutes of the reveal. I like most of the tech upgrades. I think power seats were unnecessary, I don’t remember anyone screaming for that option. I can understand why they wouldn’t put a Hemi in there since they’re trying to phase those out, but I think adding the 4xe should’ve been a given and the Hurricane with a factory lift and 35’s would’ve put it over the top. I just don’t see what they did for this MY driving a lot of sales. Maybe they’ll do something different for next year, assuming they don’t just kill the product altogether.

it was mostly the car reviewers saying for this much money you should get power seats and once the bronco had power seats as an option it forced jeep to do the same.
Rumor is ‘25 for 4XE. But sells are slow. 🤷♂️

The new Touch screen and tech inside the gladiator 2024 BLOWS Toyota/ford/chevy away. The jeep console already operated the best (I’m a ford owner by the way and can admit that it was better) now with the larger screen and cleaner look, it’s clearly in the top.
…I have a 2021 Ecodiesel: I wouldn't change mine for a 2024 with a larger screen, two airbags and electric seats…and with a 3.6 petrol…😎

As a 6 foot 6 man I love these vehicles but I have yet to find one that I actually fit in...... I would buy one in a heartbeat if I fit in it and my head didn't touch that damn sound bar. But I'm not about to buy a vehicle where my heads touching the roof......
So here's a few corrections: No diesel. No 4xe. No sliding roof panel. This is a HUGE disappointment. I couldn't care less about a 12" screen. The 8" screen works just fine, plus I added wireless Android/Apple Car Play to mine for $60. 12 way electric seats .... yaaaaawn. Where's the more powerful motor we were all expecting? 35" tires? Don't get me wrong, I like the additional crash test safety and the electronics are ... nice. But there's no reason to upgrade from my 2021 Mojave.
So basically a slightly different grill and a new screen is all the differences i see from my 2021 gladiator high altitude.
Side curtain air bags in the 2024 Gladiator can keep you from sustaining a broken neck in a T-bone impact from another vehicle. How much is the continued ability to move your arms and legs worth?

Hate the teather grab handle! Did they also remove the lower indention that makes it easier to remove the door? FAIL. The normal grab handle also served the function of holding my keys from time to time🤣
Don't worry. These aren't the standard doors. They are the 1/2 doors from Mopar. I don't even think these have glass

NOte: Mojave doesn'thave rock rails either, you can spec them in the car, but they don'thave the rails behind the wheels. (like the Wildtrack, the Mojave is a "desert runner, so you're not expected to rock crawl, but it can, so same for bronco Wildtrack, Rubicon is more like Bronco Badlands, though not sure if Bronco does come with them either on Sasquatch or Badlands, Rubicon is ultimate off road rock crawler, and only maybe the wrangler is better (especially in 4Xe, which OI own, but I need a truck, so I am getting Gladiator rubicon, Wish they had 4Xe, can't wait for it, may trade in 3.6L V6 if hybrid comes out). I love the Firecracker red, I LOVE even more the blue color, but that Velocity color is just amazing in person, so I want that color. Interior is nice. Problem I had with previous Gladiator (and wrangler a bit) is that I didn't think seat went back far enough, nor adjusted enough. I think its been fix, but can anyone comment on that? Love the interior updates!

Well the good news is there are analog gauges.
I'll take the Jeep, Wrangler or Gladiator, to any other manufacturer's 4-wheel drive vehicle. I've been a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon owner since April 2012. My Rubicon has been the most reliable "car" I have ever owned. (I started driving in 1964. From then through 1993 I drove Series Land Rovers. Even had a Land Rover parts business from 1974 to 1986. As a matter of fact, I tried to get Mr. Iacocca and Chrysler to "buy Land Rover Limited from the British Government." This was before Chrysler Corporation bought AMC/Jeep.) My wife and I also had a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland diesel while living in Utah prior to moving to the Hawaiian Island of Molokai. My wife had some issues with the Grand Cherokee's diesel particulate emissions system. Over the years I've owned many Land Rovers, one Range Rover, and numerous Rover cars, 2000's, 3500 P-6, and 3500 NAS SD1 cars. Our Jeeps have been vastly more reliable than anything Rover, Land Rover or British Leyland made. Thanks to Jeep's designers and management for keeping the Wrangler a Wrangler. Unibody construction does not cut it when most of one's driving is off-road. I'm also a purest. I hope Jeep sticks with circular headlights and traditional instrumentation. But Jeep has to give the market what the market wants and demands. I'm seventy-five. I plan on driving a Wrangler and a Gladiator right up to the moment I take my last breath. Two really egregious misses here: 1.) appears that the Selec-Trac is back?! 2.) The Selec-Speed feature, aka 4wd cruise control button should be emblazoned in a different color. This is one of the most misunderstood and misused features on any modern Jeep
