Pretty sure an average wrestler from the midwest could dominate in some of those coastal states. Just watch the respective state tournaments of both states and tell me there isn't a massive difference in the wrestling you're seeing.

    • He was on FIRE in the 2018 Nattys. First match, he beat the kid from Oregon State that upset him when he was wrestling unattached, at the Midlands...I believe. Then he pinned Nic Pincinnini of Oklahoma State, then he pinned No.1 seeded Nathan Tomesselo of Ohio State, then he dominated Suriano. Suriano looked good this year at 125lbs., but we'll see what he's really made of when he meets Pat Glory of Princeton. Kids a stud too. But as Good as Suriano looked...he still didn't win EVERY match this year by pin or Tech fall, which Lee did last year, till the Finals if the National Tournament..and he only beat that kid from Arizona State, like 8-2....and he had no ACLS, and couldn't move like he wanted. If he WAS wrestling, and healthy...I'd say he'd (Lee) put it on Nic worse than this tourny.

Really curious to see how he translates his wrestling to full-time freestyle. • We all lost respect for Suriano after he quit Penn State. Gilman deflated his ego so much it made him feel like he didn't belong. Now at Rutgers he gets beat by a true freshman. Even in New Jersey where he avoided the Super32 and protected his record we all knew he wouldn't make it as an NCAA champion. The Fix match was a gift. What ref stops a match with seconds left when a wrestler is legged in and working?!?!?! WOW!!! Spencer Lee is a great wrestler he just needs to keep working like he has up to this point.

  • Suriano was awesome in high school. We really expected him to be a 3-4X NCAA chamion. Gilman educated him his freshman year and Lee his sophmore year. Then the ref gifted him the match with Fix by stopping the match with seconds left his junior but I think he earned his NCAA title this season at 25 years old vs Junior Patrick Glory.
