Feels like none of them have done their research. Murphy had no idea what Southampton's fixtures were, Jordan said Leicester have taken 8 points form the last 4 when they've only taken 6 - also said Ipswich losing to Norwich makes no sense when Norwich are one of the form teams in the league having only lost 3 games in 2024.
funniest outcome would be ipswich and southampton getting automatic and both leicester and leeds losing in playoff semis

Newcastle fan here. The team I'd most like to see promoted is Leeds (fellow North-of-England team ). I'm watching the Championship title race with interest. I like to see who's coming up for next season. Something tells me that Ipswich will win it with Leeds finishing 2nd. I just have a funny feeling that despite being umpteen points clear earlier in the season, Leicester will fall at the final hurdle and end up in the play offs which are a total lottery and anyone could win!

As a Norwich fan, I understand the sentiment around Ipswich and their remarkable journey. Have to say, they were a distant second best at Carrow Road - thought they looked tired. Norwich have a star player returning in Rowe which is a huge boost. The team I fear most in the play offs is Southampton, given their squad and form. But given we have some very good players, we have nothing to fear. It's a great end to the season, and hopefully we're in the hat for the chance of glory, after being frankly all over the place through the winter.
The advantage for Norwich and WBA is that the top 2 race is so close that the 3rd and 4th finishers will feel demoralised rather than hyped.

I’m trying not to think about those two home games. The way we made up the gap, to chuck it away like that is horrific to think about.
They're also playing Leicester and Leeds away. Very big ask for them to beat them both away.
The pressure will be on the home sides though.

i thought that. In a derby match i always assumed that either side had a more equal chance due to local rivalry .. Plus they are both doing ok in the same division .

They also couldn't mention that Norwich also beat Preston at Preston. They are one of the teams in form, Simon doesn't know squat lol! (In my opinion of course)

Southampton playing "beach" teams and Russel Martin will have his arrogance served up to him against Leicester and Leeds. Leeds and Leicester have shat the bed though. Prediction: 1.Leicester 2. Leeds 3. Southampton 4. Ipswich. (because of remaining fixtures) Norwich to win playoffs in this scenario.
Ipswich went to 2 playoff chasing teams away from home last season to clinch promotion in Peterborough and Barnsley and destroyed them both when they needed to. They have what it takes when it absolutely matters

Southampton struggled to beat Watford. With a deliberate handball required to snatch a 99 minute winner. So that recent form has to be seen in context. Although a good win against a physical if limited Preston. So, I can’t see Southampton getting automatic promotion. In the playoffs you tend to see the third team come through. Southampton will hope to secure that, but probably will end up fourth. I suspect it’s going to be too late for them this year. Mind you I would prefer Southampton to Leicester going up this year.

Apart from Ipswich, the teams that are guaranteed top 6 finishes have all played in the prem within the last 3 years and have been formidable top flight teams over the last decade. Don’t talk such nonsense mate.
