    • @@kemmilove1427you do know that people in jail have not been convicted of any crime, right? Lots of people who are innocent stay in jail for months because they are too poor to get out. Not to mention that you can be arrested for being homeless and sleeping in your car. Or just being homeless in general is also a crime in certain areas.

    • My 2 adopted daughter’s bio grandma was in prison due to drug problems and while she was incarcerated there she lost the ability to walk due to diabetes. The prison covered all her medical needs and issued her a wheelchair. Then they assigned another prisoner to be her helper. She pushed her around in her wheelchair and stuff like that. The grandma ended up dying in prison after spending 2 years in there and if she’d lived she would probably have been released about 6 months later unfortunately but the prison actually paid for cremation and everything. This was in Chilicothe Correctional Institute in Chilicothe Missouri, same place Gypsy Rose spent her sentence. Tina, if you want to use any of this info for your videos feel free!

The people who have the power to do something to change this and don’t, have friends and family just like you and me and no one stops them or says anything about how their actions leave inmates without BASIC living materials.

  • The jail i visited didnt allow inmates to have contacts at all and you were allowed to bring your pair of glasses with you (while taking into intake) not could a family member/friend bring your glasses up to the jail... If you needed glasses (while in intake) youd let the nurse whos giving you a head to toe physical you will need glasses. Then thwy would have you do a quick eye exam and have a pair ready for you the next day(ive been told that charge that pair of glasses to your acct. Somewhere around $50 so soon as you have money on your books they take whats owed) The reasoning why this jail did that was (rumors has it) people were somehow smuggling podwer stuff in the frames of glasses, but the jails official statement is " so the inmates dont become jealous of one another whos got the nicer glasess etc" "they wear the same uniforms, shoes, glasses, socks"

  • It shouldn't be just brushed off like "It's jail what do you expect?" Taking away your basic natural senses like hearing or seeing is inhumane. Your glasses/contacts/hearing aids are medical devices and are considered as part of your person. Removing a part of your person is Geneva convention levels of inhumane and that really should not be swept under the rug.
