  • As someone who doesn't follow ONE (or fighting in general) I appreciate showing the highlights in real time and then a replay in slow motion. The action is so quick I often couldn't tell which blow put them down in real time. The other thing I noticed is that most of the blows that ended the fight were to the chin or to the ribs. These fighters are true gladiators!

    @CarlVandenberg@CarlVandenberg Жыл бұрын
    • It's not the ribs, it's right below them, in the liver(except for that one at 1:50, that was a straight knee to the ribcage). You wouldn't think it, but a good shot to your liver can shut your body down instantaneously, but not permanently. Same with kidney shots. Getting hit in unprotected organs HURTS. There's a lot of OFF switches on the body, if you know where to go for.

  • This video not only shows how much knockouts effect someone, but specifically liver shots. No one knows until they know.

    • Never been punched or kicked in the liver but I've taken an unexpected cricket ball there and all I can say is that I couldn't decide between whether I was about to die from the agony or whether I wanted to die to stop the suffering.

  • These are brutal. Good on the refs for stepping in as needed. That said, it is kinda horrifying how some of the fighters rush in after their opponent is out cold do dish out more damage. Unsettling. In the other hand, there are other ones that just KNOW that they just send the other fighter to sleep and go to neutral. Classy.
