In StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void you are Hierarch Artanis, leader of the mighty protoss race. Years ago, your homeworld of Aiur fell to the merciless zerg Swarm. Now, at long last, you have raised a powerful fleet of warships known as the Golden Armada, and are poised to reclaim your world. But an ancient evil-Amon-threatens this destiny and the fate of the entire galaxy. Only you can reunite the protoss factions and defeat the coming darkness before it consumes all life in the sector.

By doing this, Blizzard show that they are supporting the custom map community and casual Starcraft players. I used to play alot of desert strike with my family!! And we loved it. Definently going to buy this! What "DarKcS2" said in the comments - "The best showcase for how badly optimized sc2 is", is actually quite funny… And true...
Thanks for all the fun!!!
You guys realize this is desert strike and that the premium part only adds cosmetics, right? Just look at Tya's discord.
It does not just add cosmetics, it adds a whole bunch of units - meaning that Tya's direct strike is going to play differently to desert strike
Premium, as in costs money?
Yes, $5 to be exact
Ducken25 5$ per month?
RIP TotalBiscuit
I thought something new for Broodwar remastered :(
Looks a bit like desert strike. I'll have to check it out
SeroJ It IS desert strike, made by the same creator as desert strike.
Zaxton Hong nah it's "direct strike" lol
Look at the description
So devs get outside ideas and make on SC engine ? Nothing new ? Just only SC skins ?
Dont go full EA Blizz!
Too late :(
Lol have you looked at Hearthstone?
Isn't this just the co-op test mode in Desert Strike?
i would suggest uploading a video every week to keep people in the starcraft universe with there mind and thoughts.
Great.
so... this is paid mods?
desert strike but you have to pay... pass
Mindless its from tya The one who made desert strick but its more developed now This map is awesome and he deserve mony for this Its like the one who made dota Then its became leage of leagends and dota 2
Nope, we dont want SC2 to choke in micro-transactions
But... they have already been foing it for quite a long time now
Kvera I'd rather the game to be still alive and with microtransactions than dead and without.
+Khoa Bang Tran I'd rather sacrifice a broken game to send a message against monetizing every aspect of an already paid for video game, then keep this game on crutches for a couple more years and spread more cancer.
It looks awesome...
they should do instead of doing those arcade games make a wow based game of starcraft with the 3 races so each one begins as low rank and goes up in rank as from marine to thor
So it's desert strike, but costs money... Right.
Its a development of the game by TYA.
I became gm in 6 months in it. Cool
Just to be able to support Tya on his/her amazing mapping would be more than enough reason for me, to be buying this. I mean, Tya provided us with several interesting, and unique gamemodes, which where all brilliant to play. I hope that at least half of the money goes to the map maker themselves, that would be really awesome. :)
Ok, let's start laughing at them... *NOW*
Ooh looks cool
this looks like a mobile game with sc2 graphics
this looks like a mobile game -with sc2 graphics-
RisenGuide yeah no
DarkLeviathan8 yes it does
I like those comments >complaining about supporting the guy who made the game mode you played for hours
We still don't know what share Blizzard takes. It's valve's paid mods all over again. I have no issue with giving those guys money for stuff they did, I don't want to give Blizzard money for the stuff they didn't do. Who knows what else will be monetised after custom maps.
If you arent going to make sc3 at least make more cool cinematics.Random, just cool cinematics.
Paid mods - It's okay when blizzard does it.
The best showcase for how badly optimized SC2 is.
It is pretty well optimized for the low end, only the high end is badly optimized
Eh, even on the low end its pretty dogshit, I should know because I tried to run this on my laptop and older Pcs back when the game was still new, and it suuuuuuuuuuuuucked. slow down city
SkyTech RTS I remember playing it on a laptop with intel graphics and it worked well as long as I stayed away from certain arcade maps like special forces
Personally I think desert strike is better
slavnov gosha look at the description. It is desert strike, done by the guy who made desert strike, just a rename
Xopowo [Kirout] i mean the OG desert strike
Already bought SC2, no thanks won't pay anymore.
So you have to pay to play desert strike, i mean direct strike in the next patch, yaaay 😡
No you dont.
this is dumb and shouldnt cost money lol
It is desert strike and this entire thing is a terrible idea
Even pewdiepie has more original content than you guys
Really guys? You're going to show off with THIS? Like... what's the appealing factor there? Is it something new? Does it look like it's done any better than 1000 other maps of the same genre (which got old back in Warcraft 3 times)? Did it took some real effort from the creators team to make this? well okay, it probably did seeing as giving a unit new attack in Starcraft 2 editor is a herculean task, but still all the other maps have to go through that too (you'd think that fixing that obvious flaw would be a priority) This map is so bland and boring and overdone I do not even have any more rhetorical questions to ask. Shame on you, shame on you.
"Omg I actually have to pay for stuff that took time to make?! What is this?!"
