    • Unnatural agression can be a sign of disease, such as rabies. Animals are unconsciously aware of this. You better avoid animals with unnatural agression, and avoid being bitten at all costs. So I think they don't respect him, but see him as crazy.

  • Jaguars are predators of the caiman and are actually very successful due to their hunting tactics (going for the back of the neck and biting down). Something like that is quite common.

  • Message from all smart dogs in Aus. If a Roo goes into a dam or creek, be very hesitant at following it. What the one in the video was working on was to grab the dog and hold it under water until it drowned. And those back legs with big claws can deliver a deadly kick, or slit a dog open if the front legs grab it, on dry land. Skippy is not as dumb as some people think.

    • This is why I was also surprised that someone was actually recording that video because the roo could have killed both dogs easily. They can eviscerate a grown up man. No idea why people think they are cute and cuddly.

  • That leopard actually died later from those porcupine quills. One was deep enough to puncture its heart. Though as damaged as it was, there was no way it could hunt, and it probably would have starved to death soon anyways.

  • That lizard is an argentine black and white Tegu. Their bite force is about 300 pounds. They also grow up to 5 feet and WILL death toll once it grabs on

    • Yup, America is the biggest consumer of animals by far. Fair enough that they eat them, but they also keep them in absolutely horrible animal factory conditions. Disgusting. Should really take a lesson from more modern nations such as Europe and China in how to treat animals humanely.

    • Monitor lizard are old world (Asia, Australia and Africa) species. Tegus live in the americas. A type of monitor would be a Nile or Komodo Dragon not a Tegue

    • My theory is that Lions mostly kill when they're hungry and looking for food. They like to stalk and creep up on prey, then chase like its a game. This dog just came up to them out of no where, and wasnt afraid like prey should be. It didn't bring out that killer instinct in them. They were more like "wtf" since they are so used to other animals being afraid of them. For this reason I'm guessing they weren't sure how to react to the dog.

    • In an environment where your chances of failing a hunt and starving is quite high, you need to conserve as much energy as possible. Hunting is not a game to them. They just won’t fight or kill the dog think it isn’t worth using the energy since it is not much of a threat to them.

    • Kind of like large dogs virtually always ignoring pesky little dogs barking and trying to bite them. Large animals rarely feel the need to assert their dominance as they do not feel threatened. It seems, however, that adult tigers will hunt down and kill off wolves, dogs and foxes that try to settle in its territory. This is because wolves are seen as competitors for food and since tigers are solitary creatures, they will suppress any wolf pack by killing most of them. This is usually enough for one or two wolves to escape and never to return.
