"Normal" people do not eat Ostrich eggs (which come from animals native to Africa and over here farmed ones cost AU$ 50.00 each), or Oysters that big, or easily 300$ worth of Octopus in a single meal.

  • I’m amazed how Mark never runs out of superlatives! And also amazed at his legendary appetite! I grew up in Australia in the nineteen fifties and sixties when most Australians had an aversion to seafood and were accustomed to a sad and indifferently prepared piece of fish on Friday nights. My family were immigrants from China and we were omnivores so we relished the rich bounty of seafood such as we see here in this video. What a feast we had! Thanks Mark for a journey down memory lane. From California.

My family always liked to go to the Eucumbene Trout Farm on the way back from the Snowy Mountains and pick up some delicious smoked trout to take back to Sydney. (It’s a 4 hour drive from the farm to so you couldn’t really buy fresh ones!) Not sure how old the farm was back in the 80s but it is still there.

  • Even at someone's own home, Mark amazes us with his manners. lol Who needs forks and spoons when Mark's invited at your house? And his reaction to food reminds me of Ray Charles playing piano. lol He's in his own little world in front of the camera.

    • Well from this video and the previous one, I'm realizing true Australia food is basically a mix of different countries. I would hate to be Aussie since there's not much that represents true Australian food.

    • @@DaveWhoa no need to be hostile my friend. Shows how sensitive you are. 😔 I am speaking facts however. I used to have an Australian coworker (who was the biggest A hole I've ever met BTW) and when asked if they had traditional dishes in his home country and he said no, there isn't.
