The Tiny Swamp Forest Ecosystem (100 day evolution)

For the past 100 days! I Simulated A Swamp Forest, Home to an Endangered species of fish.
I built an ecosystem that would maintain itself, by tiny critters an animals working together.
I even added in the natural disasters that happen in the in the wild! To see how the animals respond and the challenges they face.
#Aquarium #ecosystem

  • I have a betta mahachaiensis as well. His name is Nova and he's about 2 years old. Have really, really enjoyed this species of betta. Got him for $4 off of a local keeper since his pair accidentally bred. Don't think I can ever keep a tank without a mahachaiensis now, they're just so personable and pretty and peaceful. This tank is gorgeous by the way!

  • I enjoyed this a lot and it resonates with what I want to do as a hobbyist. I want to participate in conservation to a degree so that way I can do something relatively important in terms of morals and ethics with the hobby. I have been considering breeding either these guys or another species of the splendens complex like imbellis. I'm about to get campoma endlers and try to keep a pure a strain as possible of this wild variety. PS this earned you a sub from me :)
