Dynamic Striking was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria &
Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving
your striking skills as much as possible in the least amount of time.
Their aim was to create a shop for students interested in striking who
don’t look at mixed martial arts as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

  • Off topic, but speaking of change-ups, I really like when Nate Diaz slaps a guy and follows up with a straight power punch.

    @TrueBagPipeRock@TrueBagPipeRock2 жыл бұрын
    • How crazy is it that the Stockton slap is hard to counter, you can try but doing so leaves you open for that power punch you mentioned, it's just their signature slap but it has so much more use than I thought

    • It's a slap because they stand too side on to throw a good left hook

  • I don't care what anyone say's about Marciano, if you beat 49 guys with 42 KO's (which includes several legendary fighters), become thee heavyweight champion (in a single belt era), defend your championship multiple times, and retire undefeated, you are a great great fighter. You can't blame the level of competition when a guy literally beats everybody worth fighting in his era from champions, to former champions, to top contenders, and so on.

I know he's a fan of MMA... and if I was a Pro fighter, I'd be trying to get Teddy to be my boxing coach during camps. • Feinting should be incorporated into punching more. Coaches should be on fighters in the gym about this, just as MMA coaches shouldn't let their fighters throw naked kicks. Whether it's grappling or striking, misdirection should be ingrained.

  • Marciano was "undefeated" only because he didn't continue to fight. He wasn't WAS NOT..the greatest heavyweight, or fighter in general. Ali, Jack Johnson, Louis, when in his prime, even shavers and foreman would, in their primes, have defeated Marciano in his prime. Larry Holmes was very close to Marciano's record. Hell, I personally believe Mike Tyson would have defeated Marciano.

    • Marciano was a mob boxer. So yeah, obviously he ducked competition, was horribly underpaid, and quit early because he was tired of being controlled by the mob. He made some terrible decisions, and paid for it. But he'll never be remembered as one of the greats because he was controlled by the mob. And he deserves to not be remembered as one of the greats. Also, Tyson would have destroyed him. So would Ali. So would most of the heavyweight greats since he retired.
