    • I own the danshang gigaminx and honestly, it's kind of bad as far as the mechanism goes. The inner layers can't corner cut, it's very easy for them to pop. A friend of mine had the one he had and it's much more playable than the DanShang

    • no - the inner pieces (with only 1 color) are not magnetized

  • 1:34 If you put an extra pair of magnets in there somewhere there are 121 pairs and you can call it "121 Jigaminx" (as a reference to 1.21 Jigawatts).

  • I thank you for speeding up that footage. I certainly don't have the patience to glue 240 magnets inside a megaminx, let alone watch someone else do it for 4 hours. I definitely need to try out a cube with magnets. I have alignment problems all the time.

  • To keep weight down you could do what i did and use a dremel on the inside of the pieces to make space for magnets at the top so they are more effective and you dont need as big magnets. I used N52 3x1.5 magnets and they fit after some cutting down.

  • I magnetised my Gan monster go mirror cube, it has all the slots for the magnets to go in which makes it easier to install with no glue needed. But I really need to magnetise my megaminx, great video, and love all your content.

  • Could you magnetise a Gan monster go mirror cube please, the magnet size is 3x2 and the magnet slots are already molded in the pieces, I have magnetised mine because I was really disappointed with the turning, the magnets have made it so much better, and could you compare it too the normal Gan mirror cube, thanks for making great content

  • I am magnetizing my gigaminx by following this video. I did have a question though. Have you ever changed the color of pieces? On my megaminx, I use black replacement pieces to replace beige. It'd be nice to do that on the gigaminx too. Have you had success with this type of change in the past? Any tips?

    • @@hafheim spray paint is kinda bad depending on how thick it will be. The coating can slow down that size so it would be a bit weird to do and deal with

    • Completely legal. That happened back in the day with big cubes, some people magnetized theirs because there were no mass-produced options at that time
