  • A cycling film that is really a metaphor for life in many ways. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing with the world - I applaud your emotional courage to do so, I got something out of it!

  • A few years ago, I rode the Heck 50 miler at a time in my life when my mental health was really suffering and I was lacking direction and commitment to self-improvement. While I can't claim everything is great now, I can absolutely tell you that training for and riding that race helped me find the direction I needed to start on the road to greater happiness. This film is awesome. Congrats to the filmmakers and Jeremy for putting on a great event year after year.

  • I also work in mental healthcare, and six months ago i started going on longer rides up here in northern Norway on my gravel bike. Longest ride in the summer was 147 km Through some of the most beautiful farmland id ever seen. It was always right in my vicinity, but id never had a reason to travel there by car. After that long ride, i felt privileged to be alive.

  • Today I was thinking of quitting... XL Biking has a beautiful mission, but it needs backers, here in Europe they're so hard to find :( Anyway, watching "The Good Line" made me reconsider. This short video was able to convey what I was feeling, and I want to thank everyone involved in producing it! I've already sold a bike, and was thinking of selling the gravel bike - not anymore! I wanna ride, I want to keep on fighting so fat riders like me can have the apparel they need to keep riding too! Thank you so much!

  • Greetings from Vladivostok! I myself ride a bike in one, shoot videos and edit videos purely for myself. To review them and wonder - did I really do it? I'm already 38. You know, at first the video was ordinary for me, like everyone else. But the monologue of words and the shots of plunging into the pond are just amazing, to the point of goosebumps (I already felt the temperature of the water). Good luck, health and a smooth road.

Instead, it turned out to be a beautiful story. I rediscovered cycling through the Gravel genre, getting back on the bike at the beginning of the pandemic after a 15 year absence. It has helped me to rediscover a core element of myself, and in doing so, renewed my zest for life, at 62. Bless you and your family.

  • I like your words! Trying to find that line again. I’m 66 now. At 35, I rode as much as I could, but riding seemed to get in the way of raising 4 boys with my beautiful wife. It truly didn’t have to, but it did. So, riding diminished to practically nothing. I now have the time, but just finding it very very hard to find those regular rides to bump up the base miles. Your film provides some incentive for sure!! I hope to see you at the heck of the north in ‘23 … maybe even ‘22 if I could find that “ON” switch. Thanks for the help.

Gravel, is a relatively new genre for me, just built my second dedicated gravel bike, from a carbon cross frame, I was so happy to find that I could fit 40mm tires, It was a happy day! • Great video, felt the emotions there. I'm a nurse as well working in surgery for 10yrs and been riding for 4yrs now. The sense of just riding your bike gives me that peace and ability to just go away from all the stress. Last year was tough for my wife and I as I would be gone for half a day of weekends when riding, got her a bike and took her riding with me. She then understood the joy and sense of peace that I find when I ride. It's still currently snow melting season at the moment here but I can't wait to ride outside and take my wife with me and hopefully my son as well when he's a bit older. This video hits home for me. Thank you for making this video.
