What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

  • I think the problem with this scenario is that if a male does this it is considered gay, but if a female does this then it is is considered just being a Tom-boy, or feminism and standing up for women’s equality. Like bruh........what do you mean?

Every time people see me with one of my friends who is a boy, they always come up to me and ask if we're dating, and it's honestly just really irritating at this point.

      @edward.g@edward.g8 ай бұрын
    • @@edward.g Hold your head high and keep on being you! Your interest don't have anything to do with being gay or not. There's a ton of gays who are into boy things and even more straight guys that are into "girly" things. And art and singing isn't even girly, it's for everyone. It's horrible how far toxic masculinity has come to make human artistic expression considered "not a boy thing". The bullies are just violent toxic idiots. Or maybe they're low-key pissed because they don't have artistic talent and can't sing as good as them. Don't let it get to you. You can beat them the best by just continuing being a star at your art until everyone, even the bullies, will not be able to deny how great you are. And girls love artsy guys, especially if they sing, so the guys may bully you for "being gay" even if your not (even if you were there wouldn't be anything wring with that), but the girls probably hope that you're not lol. Imagine if the bullies crush fell for you. Now that would be a victory!

    @preetiundale9843@preetiundale98433 жыл бұрын
    • Not really, I used to play with A LOT of toy cars and I didn’t grow up to be a fast moving machine. A girl can like to play with action figures and a boy can play with dolls. It’s not a bigger deal you aren’t born with likes or dislikes, boys that like dolls and princess are not any less than the ones that play with action figures. Men are so stereotyped in how they should act and what they like, that it’s sad how people like you whether you are male, female, to non-binary or any other, don’t realize how normal it is to like something new, it does not affect you. Don’t limit what boys can like. Sometimes stereotypes like this can make young boys judge others that are different as they grow. Please don’t let stupid stereotypes get in they way of someone’s happiness. Have a wonderful day or night, I hope u will have a better view tomorrow. 😔😉

    • Realistically, it's because there are "girls toys" and "toys". There are SOME boy toys like Dragon-Flyz and the Queasy Bake Oven but toys usually come in a standard version and a girls version... every toy store has a "for girls" aisle but there is no "for boys" aisle... it's just Building Toys, Model Kits, Sports Equipment, Plushies, Remote Control, etc... and all of those are just "for kids". A "boys toy" is like Lego or a badminton set... a "girls toy" is a crying baby.

Eventually I became more girlish, but never gave up being a tomboy to a certain degree. Last time I climbed a tree, approximately 68 feet, I was 51 years old. Now I'm 62 and wish my health would allow me to climb trees again.

They had shorts in the girls section too, but I didn't like the colours or designs on them. We ended up leaving the store empty handed and I remembered saying on the way home, "so what if they're for boys, as long as they fit me and I like them?" Eventually I did end up getting swimming shorts that were in a colour that I liked (red with black stripes down the side), but they were from the girl's section at another store. 🩳

But aren’t you a girl? Maybe you should have a girl toy. Here!” She gives me one of the Barbie doll things. I don’t remember. I politely responded that I’d rather have the other toy. Which was a car or something, and she looked at my dad and started laughing and handed me the car toy and was like “so this is how kids are now a days!” I didn’t care. Neither did my dad. We walked out of the mc Donald’s with my food and the toy. I feel like toys shouldn’t be gender based. Everyone should be allowed to like what they like! Even if it’s something as small and random as a mc Donald’s toy. Lol

I also was very excited I would get her (in my poor transgender girl mind...). Of course, I got the Batman Car instead. And I cried so much. My aunt made me up as story where Barbie was the co-pilot in Batman's car. It kind of made me feel better. I had that stupid car for many years, along with the unplayed Hotwheels collection my grandma made for me in the hopes I would eventually like it, but I didn't, so I heired it to my little brother who lost them all in a week 😛

I had all kinds of different toys growing up, and my parents let me play with Barbie without ever questioning it. Heck Barbie had some cool things that my other action figures didn’t have. She had an RV motor home, an airplane, all kinds of cool different houses with working elevators. I also liked it because Barbie and Ken seemed more realistic than all my other toys and plus it was nice to finally have something my sister and I could both share and enjoy. Kids just want to play with what looks fun to them, I’m thankful my family never made it a gender thing.

They thought he was gay until they found out that all his friends had sisters and could rip the heads off of their sister's barbies. He didn't have a sister, but he wanted to rip off Barbie's head too. So they got him a barbie, and he ripped her head off and was happy.

  • This is probably one of the most relatable videos I have ever seen. Back when this happened to me, my parents were worried. When I was going to put something that was not gender appropriate for me in the cart at the store, my dad atopped me. But that didn't stop me from wanting toys like that. I still wanted them, and then from what I heard, my dad was like "We need to do something about this" and my mom was like: SHE JUST LIKES THOSE STUFF THIS WON'T MEAN ANYTHING FOR HER FUTURE! And seriously parents like this are so annoying, coming from experience, these moms act like their daughter is 6 only letting them play with barbies. Plus, I have seen shirts say that real men wear pink which is according to these parents: Only for girls.

If a boy likes dresses and has long hair or wants Barbie’s that dosent mean they are a girl or gay. If a girl likes a truck toy or has short hair or wears more “masculine” clothes that dosent mean they are a boy or are lesbian. I hate gendering things with no point in gendering. (Not hating on trans or homosexuals by the way if anyone got that impression. I am actually lesbian I just am speaking out against the stereotypes and the pointless gendered things) I actually had many Barbie’s when I was young, they were my mom’s when she was younger. I loved them. I also loved playing superhero’s with my dad. We had *sooooo* much fun with it :)

He would also feed his rubber ducky 🦆 a baby bottle 🍼. Now my brother is 17 years old and he is a sensitive person who knows how to talk to people.

  • I saw that in a toy shop with a friend. We were messing around while looking at the dolls and we saw a little boy (5 years old) grabbing a doll stroller and his mother told him "put that back, it's for the girls." Me and my friend were very shocked but since we were very timid teenagers we didn't say anything.

  • It’s stuff like this that leads to toxic masculinity/misogyny. Boys have been told their whole lives that they have to appear masculine and tough. They’ve basically been taught that being more feminine and showing emotions is “weak.” It’s actually why male suicide rates are so high. Men are being forced into a box of what society thinks men should be like and it’s incredibly toxic. My dad has been saying things to my brother like “don’t cry like a little girl” and “pink is a girl’s color” his entire life. My brother is only 11 and I’ve already seen toxic masculinity from him. Like when I offer him a bowl of food and he won’t take it because the bowl is pink. Young boys being taught that they have to be masculine is so incredibly harmful. I’m lucky that I’ve left behind the internalized misogyny my parents gave me. My friends have, too. Many of my guy friends are comfortable wearing skirts and nail polish because they aren’t afraid of showing their feminine side like so many men are today. I hope that in the future we’ll stop pointlessly gendering things like toys, clothes, and colors, and finally start letting people express themselves the way they want. Sorry for the long rant, this has been on my mind for a while.

  • Lmao when I was like six years old, I really wanted this pinkish purple stuffed elephant toy from Toys “R” Us. But my biological dad would not buy it. Said it was too girly, insisting I needed a “boy’s toy”. Flash forward, now I’m a 28-year-old man, married with three kids, I do all the stereotypical “male stuff“, such as routinely go shooting with any of my 12 guns, go to car shows to check out the old muscle cars, work on my own cars, enjoy tools, enjoy my wife (we do have three kids after all), go to the bar with the boys, etc. and guess what. Right smack in the middle of my bed, is that purpleish pink elephant that my mom and adoptive dad went and bought me when my biological dad said no. Still have it and sleep with it 22 years later.
