Yup, and unless you’ve played? It makes a big difference in line changes and when a goalie should cover the puck to get a change or play it, to prevent the opposition from getting a line change and that’s big in OT. I’m old school, and I’d rather see them play 10 minutes, of 5 on 5 and then go to a shootout. (I’d like to see 20 minutes 5 on 5 in the regular season OT but that ship 🚢 has sailed years ago)

Isles missed the chance to jump 2 points vs the Flyers. With the 'loser point', the Flyers are still in ok shape.
Not just allowing the Flyers the OTL point, but the fact that, again, it wasn't a regulation win. They better finish with more points, because if they wind up tied, they are done. The Caps and Flyers both have 28 RW. The Isles have 23, with 8 games left.

This a team expected to be bottom of the East with not a lot of experience on the roster. Even if they somehow miss the playoffs this season a win in the long term. They will be dangerous as hell in a few years.
