How to squeeze the maximum out of the battery?
There is an incredible number of ways to use batteries with benefit, including not for their intended purpose. Battery can be a heater for hands, cigarette lighter, electromagnet, stylus.
Do you know how to replace a lighter with a regular battery? Take a strip of foil. You can even use cigarette foil. Attach its ends to the battery poles. Take a cotton wool, napkin or small sawdust - for example, from a sharpened pencil - and bring it to the foil. Look, caught fire!
By the way, do you know how to check if this battery is new or old? Just drop it on the table. The charged battery will stand, the discharged battery will fall on its side.
You can make a real burner out of a battery and two needles for a syringe! You can burn them various inscriptions. For example, a love note for some girl :)
Look also at some tricks with batteries and copper wire. You can turn a wire into a magnet. Such tricks can be shown to a child, younger brother or nephew. They will love it.
I will also teach you how to charge the phone with a battery. Here is the first way. You need a battery, a key, car charger, and a stationery or scotch tape. See what to do with it. Here is also the second way to make portable charger for just 5 bucks. You need a battery, car charger and wiring.
I will teach you how to make an organizer for batteries. You don't even have to sew or glue. You need a wide elastic band and a stapler. And check out, how to use the battery instead of the stylus. A very useful thing in the winter when you are wearing gloves!
You will see how to make a keychain-case for a charging cable with your own hands. This accessory will really like girls - they can decorate their bags with it. I will also show you how to bridle the cable so that it doesn’t fray. You need only a hair dryer, heat-shrink tubing and wool thread. Have you ever knitted? Now you can try, it's easy.
How to charge the phone without electricity. How to make fire without matches and lighters. How to determine the used battery. How to warm a frozen battery. How to replace the missing battery with a foil or paper clip. All these tricks will also be useful on a hike or on a trip.

  • Please note that the voltage given out by the battery in the hack at 1:04 can only be within a very narrow range if you are trying to light up a series of LEDs without a resistor in series with them! You'll most likely blow out the LEDs if you link them as shown right up to the battery, or they won't light at all. I suggest inserting a 470 Ohm or 1 KOhm resistor in series with the LEDs (i.e., intertwine one leg of the resistor with one of the unused legs of the diode chain, and use the other end of the resistor to make contact with the battery).

      @Adamatop1@Adamatop1 Жыл бұрын
  • @1:20 placing 3 LEDs across a 9v battery might draw too much current....might want to put a ballast resistor in series to limit the current. (Maybe look up the forward voltage drops...Red & orange LED is around 1.8 V each and green LED is maybe a little higher like 2.something volts. BUT that adds up to less than 9 V. So those leds will be overdriven...and possibly burn out...and you might suck up unnecessarily large amount of current from battery.

    @EricFontaineJazz@EricFontaineJazz2 жыл бұрын
    • bro 3 leds take such little current and power

      @zozuaspectshorts3721@zozuaspectshorts3721 Жыл бұрын
    • @ZoZu Aspect Shorts : Light-emitting diodes only *need* a little current (1-20 mA) to turn on, however any diode will *take* as much current as they can when on. Look up "diode current-voltage characteristic" and you will see that when the voltage across the diode exceeds the diode's characteristic forward bias voltage drop, then the current draw will shoot through the roof of the chart.

      @EricFontaineJazz@EricFontaineJazz Жыл бұрын
    • @@EricFontaineJazz so the led's would be overcharging with power since there isiint anything to limit the power and so its to much for a single 9volt?

      @zozuaspectshorts3721@zozuaspectshorts3721 Жыл бұрын
    • @@zozuaspectshorts3721 my worry is that the LEDs would be drawing way more current than they need to be and so it is not safe because the battery might be drawing a lot of current and heat up to dangerous levels, and/or the individual LEDs might burn out. The only thing limiting their current draw is the internal resistance of the battery, which is maybe 1 to 20 ohms (depending on the battery). These LEDs probably drop a total of 1.8 + 1.8 + 2.0 = 5.6 V (per my earlier numbers used based on typical LED voltage drops). The remaining voltage from the 9 V battery that is not used by the LED voltage drops is 9 V - 5.6 V = 3.4 V. Since current = voltage / resistance, the current in this circuit is only limited by the internal resistance of the battery (there is also some resistance in the LEDs, but the LED resistance is much lower than the battery's internal resistance I believe). If the battery has 20 ohms internal resistance, then the current would be around 3.4 V / 20 ohms = 170 mA, which is extremely high for LEDs! And if the internal resistance of the battery was lower, the current would be even higher. The battery would overheat and/or the LEDs would burn out, because the battery and the LEDs would be dissipating way too much power as heat.

      @EricFontaineJazz@EricFontaineJazz Жыл бұрын
    • the safe thing to do is to put a ballast resistor in series in this circuit, like maybe around 150 ohms, so that the total resistance of the circuit limits the current to around 20 mA, which is is just high enough to nicely turn on the LEDs.

  • The phone charger with the key and adapter works and it’s safe it’s a cool experiment but it would be pretty Turing holding your hand there for a while but if you are stranded with your phone dead in the dessert with your key adapter and a battery your set. Highly recommend you trying this for your self because it’s just so cool but I’m not completely sure how long one battery will charge without dying but either way it’s something super cool that you have to try. I also tried the fire one and it did not work but I think I did it wrong also I tried the hand warmer one and it burned my hand because just the sides get hot and it scared the freak out of me like I grabbed it and it burned the flesh and I was like ughhh but other than that it is a solid video and some things work others don’t but that’s alright make sure you try the charger key thing it works great

  • I liked that one where she doesn't set something on fire. Oh, and the last one repairing the power cable. SIde note... how about the beautiful hands on the hand models? I think well manicured hands make a great impression. I can't believe how some channels have guys with the grossest hands and messed up nails. Some of 'em look like the have gas gangrene. Really guys... a little hand lotion right before the shoot wouldn't kill you.
