Seems a lot of thought has gone into it.
Loving the proper RCD etc! Nice charger and top video
We know you love a test button 😉
@@efixx An essential feature for installers. Great to see manufacturers acknowledge it
The WiFi mesh feature is quite unique, if it can act as a wifi hotspot , it can provide wifi to the car and driver
Interesting we’ll explore that possibility
No, the mesh Wi-Fi is used for the EV charging infrastructure. The master charging unit connects to the internet, and the other units can wirelessly connect, allowing for the firmware to be downloaded, back office/app connectivity and less ethernet cabling for the installer.
We have a 25 space underground car park to our block of flats. Want to install EV charging - BUT - our nominated block insurance company (Zurich) require us to- a] install a complete sprinkler system; b] segregate each charging space with a fireproof barrier. They also want to DOUBLE our £8000 pa annum insurance premium. And, no, we can't change insurers as the freeholder gets a 30% cut of our payment to Zurich. Oh, and Michael Gove says it too complicated to change so they are going to leave the system as it is. So whilst this charger looks great tech its no match for the greed of monopoly insurance companies. Well over 3 million people live in flats and will be faced with problems similar to this.
RIP flat values.
1.38 why does the drawing illustrate phase rotation?
Is it Just me or at 1:40 the wiring diagram does not make any sense. Is that how the charger is actually wired ?
❤great sir I learn and want to job in Europe .I like you're videos ❤❤love from Pakistan
Garo made in Sweden is the best = ) Gnosjö
Sponsored add , sure. But this charger does actually look good, there's loads of features on this that are missing from lots of others. I like the way the cable comes in at the back.
Any more information on the remote network meter?
We didn’t test it as part of our review. Checkout the link in description and you can dig in to the details.
Why aren't all chargers like this then? Just adding the charger unit to a ready wired base plate so you can upgrade as and when?
More should be for that exact reason.
Easee have done this for a while
What, no tethered unit?
Not recommended for commercial installs - increases insurance costs.
Not sure if we are talking about the same thing. I have a home charger (iCS) with a tethered 5m charging lead.@@efixx
Agree with you that electricians should not be touching electronics. Too many chargers allow the electronics to be visible to the weather elements during installation.
RCD Test button locally excellent, for domestic installs the Octopus, Ovo or any other energy supplier integration is needed. Relying on vehicles API is not wise especially after what happened with the Ford Mach E.
What did happen with the Ford Mach-E?
@@efixx back in January Ford's stopped working on the Octopus Intelligent plan, API issues, luckily we recommend the Zappi so our customers so was back on the Intelligent plan within minutes. We now recommended to our existing Zappi customers to upgrade their units by installing the retrofit Ethernet port board.
Ford"s stopped working on the Octopus Intelligent plan API issues, lucky we have always recommended Zappi's so our customer's just switched over to the Zappi for access to the Octopus Intelligent plan. We are now in the process of upgrading the older Zappi with the new ethernet port boards so all existing Zappi's can join Octopus Intelligent, Kodus to Myenergi👍@@efixx
Let's hope third time is a charm trying to reply. Back in January Ford's Mach E stopped working on Octopus Intelligent API issue. Fortunately we recommended the Zappi to our customers so they just switched to switched to the Zappi to control the charging and could access the Octopus Intelligent plan. We are now in the process of upgrading the previous version of Zappi's with ethernet port boards thus enabling these charger also join Octopus Intelligenct. Kudos to Myenergi👍
Gordon, it rains every time you get near an EV charger, well maybe you should stick to what you know best , lighting and leave the EV junk to the five day wonder sparks 😂 .
I’ve driven EV now for six years. No plans to go back to an oil burner.
