This was a great watch, thank you! And I loved the sensible decision on that river crossing. One day I will get my old Land Rover fixed up, and find this trail. I'm in South Wales.

@@ALL_4_WHEELS It's ancient, probably not fit for trails like these. It's a '76 Series 3 with a petrol V8. Needs a good working over! Bulkhead mainly.

That river - christ! fair play for turning around, a lot would have attempted it and ended up in bother.
Yeah entrance and exit 2 half foot deep but that middle part could be upto 3 even 4ft deep could easily lift the vehicle once in the middle but we could see it had a strong flow on it! No point risking it and putting people into a potentially dangerous situation.. After the wild river crossing we did in brechfa..we’ve given the rivers huge respect. 👍👍

Just been 3 weeks in the South Island of new New Zealand four wheel driving one of the trails was 45ks up in the mountains I’ve been home two days and here I am enjoying your videos you guys are real people enjoying what you got great stuff cheers .just a quick note what has the red landy got that’s one great diesel rattle there

Definitely worth checking them out and getting them used again,this one hadn’t seen any 4WD us at all ,just the TRF use it but now it’s a great one we use as much as we can! Loads unexplored lanes to be found! Happy hunting! 👍
Looks like a wet One, I'd deffo get through a can of WD trying to dry off my dizzy, plugs leads etc (or chicken out 😂😂). Thanks for Sharing looked great 👍

@@ALL_4_WHEELS All sems good, not moved in about 7-8 months, put the battery back on, starts up sweet, brakes n clutch still good, just need to replace a few track rod rubbers, on or two iffy lights... Should be street legal soon 👍

what a great watch wish i could do something like that but i havent got a 4x4, ive been down some tight tracks like that in heavy plant over the years. Do you guys ever come down towards port talbot or the vale of glamorgan, keep the videos coming
If you check out the video new defender vs old defender that was filmed around port talbot area check it out if you get chance we’ve only done it once but once neath sarn helen opens up we will do that area again some really good tracks around there! 😎🏴👍👍
Excellent video as usual! Diesel lane looks awesome, very glad I upgraded my tyres to a slightly bigger size to hopefully be able to cope with that one if I manage to get to wales this year to go about with you guys that is... I'm having a few mechanical upgrades first lol

@@ALL_4_WHEELS Same!! I am getting my autobox rebuilt first though, with the P38 RR internals as they are much stronger, than the D2's. Also a partial rebuild of the transfer case for stronger pins and output shaft. After that, uprated intercooler and hopefully...Hybrid turbo. Hoping to get this done by the end of april.

@@ALL_4_WHEELS it is! Be worth it though as td5 inside can work some serious magic with that. Need a few other small tweaks like the radiator changing. And possibly the steering gear, rods, damper etc and after that she will be ready!

@@ALL_4_WHEELS Probably 110 swb landy. Got my bug for cross country driving back in the mid 80s when I used to drive landys and 4 ton vehicles in Royal corps of transport TA. Quite a while ago really. I'm almost 58 now, but still enjoy watching this sort of thing.
Our oldest chap is 72 I think that’s the guy in the pale blue defender on this video! Known him over 10 years and loves it! Wow what was the 4ton vehicles you used to drive??..
@@ALL_4_WHEELS If memory serves, they were Bedfords. Then they got rid of them in favour of 8 tonne TMs. Back then there was a cross country army driving course in Catterick. You should check it out. Its probably still there as that's we're the tank drivers train as well.

There’s tarmac under about 3ft of silt on that drop! It’s such a great little track! Think it’s one of the best we’ve come across! 😎👍

Had to encounter these conditions and worse as a forester / gamekeeper and that was boring enough so what the satisfaction / attraction in doing it for pleasure beats me !

@dfluke3698 haha the defenders seem to be the best of the Land Rover brand we’ve had few discos out but they tend to throw up faults or break diffs! Bet you got your Landy stuck as a forester gamekeeper dense forest and deep mud I guess??hope you enjoy the channel plenty great videos to come! 😎

We didn’t think we had a saw in the group but the chap at the back had an electric saw and cleared the branches and trees for us after we squeezed past..🙄😂 The big tree we couldn’t take on it was just too much so we noted the location and reported it to the authorities who will clear it for us!! 👍

All these lanes are public roads all open and just unsurfaced rights of way..we have a facebook group for days out etc

Haha no postcode buddy I use TW2 and just make my own routes up with my mapping system! There’s so many great lanes out there yet to be explored! 👍 hope this helps???

I agree, it is quite a rare military truck. They were later upgraded to the Humber Pig FV1611 and 12, famous for Northern Ireland. I had one and regret selling it. Fun to drive for sure, just not at 5mpg!@@ALL_4_WHEELS

No leaking vehicles were used in the making of this video full inspection of vehicles before the day out commenced 👍

Yeah it’s a great Ford that one when we used to finish at red valley pay n play that would be the first place to go for a chassis car wash haha!
