  • I come to the comment section to see all the good or not-so-good comments. im 57 yrs old. I'm deaf. So to be able to understand what everyone else can hear, I have to check out this section first. From what I saw was fabulous. Back in my time, we had plastic models, that ranged from easy to very hard. Then came 2 in one versions. The paints were all in small jars( Testors ). Then the glue tube glues one in a red and white tube and one not toxic in a blue and white tube. then when you became a very good builder you worked up to bottle glue. Decal set. and all the paint colors in can paints. even paint markers.I won Best of Show, best of Customization, and Best Paint. For a 1967 Chevy Nova. Fully detailed engine compartment to full detailed interior. Opening doors hood truck with working lights even interior lights. Miss those days. I still have that car up on my shelf in my man cave. Great video.

  • As a model car builder, I can appreciate your improvisation, such as the grilles for the side brake ducts. I've been used many similar dashboard detailing techniques for my cars, as well. I had a vast collection of fine tip markers that I used for the gauges, radio, climate controls, emblems, engine parts, etc. I only wish that I had more patience when I was younger, because most of my cars showed the sloppiness of assembling the entire car in a day, especially my single coat paint jobs that ran and sagged. I haven't done any hobby work in a long time, but I hope to get back in it the next few years.

I'm glad I stumbled across this channel edit: you do overuse the flocking, though. Most of these cars do not have so much carpeting

    @CableGuyRyv@CableGuyRyv Жыл бұрын
    • You are absolutely right, there is nothing to "restore" here, model is complete just some dirt and solvent/paint remover was used to make it look old.

    • @@rostislavmutovski6111 that's not terrible, though. They still created a relaxing video upgrading the painting, adding decals, and (too much) carpet texture and I really liked that they opened up the air intakes on the sides. The channel has some other examples of remaking parts with epoxy (missing wheels, for example) and IIRC replacing missing window plastic There is some opportunity to take this up another notch in detail, but a nice video nonetheless.

    • Well, the dirt looks like it was added for the video, but, this guy unlike other "restoration vehicle scale models" that just focusing on "restoring" JADA F&F vehicles; this one gaves a lot of love with the attention to detail; from the interior's texture, badges, sparkplug wiring on the engine to the tachometer's texture decal. Something that the other "restoration vehicle scales" videos they just repaint the shell with pristine or shiny colors and called a day.

  • Looks great, but if I look at all the cars on your channel I get a feeling you destroy the cars yourself. The damage on the cars looks to perfect to be done by age and playing. Besides that, I see series of cars with the same kind of damage and paint delamination patterns.

  • I call bullshit on the toy’s condition. I mean it’s obviously not rusted but paint is missing but it was in dirt? And how on earth did someone not give so much care about these toys but yet all the parts I are still in tact? Has all the doors, mirrors, and wheels which are the first parts to fall off. Stop staging these restoration videos.

  • Hello! Amazing job, as usual! One question: what do you think would be the best way to stabilize a hollow letter made of thin metal (you know, the sort of letters used for cardinal directions in weathercocks, like W - west, S - south etc). This metal has holes and slits in some parts, and can break easily if I squeeze the letter a bit harder. I was thinking of pouring some epoxy inside, let it harden and then add some car epoxy filler to fill the remaining caverns, so I can sand and paint the whole thing afterwards. The only drawback is that epoxy is quite runny and I don't know how to prevent it from pouring back through these small holes and slits.What do you think? Is there a better way? Thank you!
