Chevrolet PH should have Release a Brazilian Version Facelifted of the 2021 7 Seater SUV Trailblazer. It would have been better.
Great Video as always. Question though. When are you guys gonna start uploading in 4k HDR? The video quality is already so high, it looks like it should be viewed in 4k.
Don't get me wrong... You guys are one of the great reviewers out there, but I am here for Caco's sense of humor.
After the BMW X7, this is your best review yet. Not about the car but how the review was delivered. Gotta say too that Chevy kinda missed the opportunity to challenge the Territory with some key features missing and aesthetics and materials that could elevate the experience. Well atleast the drive is okay. For how it is made, they could hit this if they sell it at around 1.1-1.2M
They should have rebranded this as Hell Blazer with all those heaters all over the cabin
Hell blazer,.Would be a perfect name for this it's because of it's heated seats which are also useless here in our country,,.. The Philippines so hell blazer would be a perfect fit for this newer version

I looked at it at the dealer’s yesterday and the headlights and foglights appear to have glass lenses which I hope it IS so that it won’t turn “yellow” in 3 years.
The moment I saw the brand "Chevrolet" I knew I'm gonna be disappointed. Guess what, very outdated and didn't do their research well. For that price point and no rear toys? And you put seat heater instead of AC vents? C'mon.
cause this is not meant for our market i think, it didn't sell well in its intended market which is somewhere that has snow thus having heated seats so now they throw it in our market hoping that it will sell haha that's my guess
@@lance1610 your actually correct. This Trail Blazer model is originally from their North American market. And secondly your right again, these features like heated seats and steering wheel are a popular feature here during winter. And i am more inclined to believe these units may have came from indeed North America. Chevy's here in Canada dont sell well ironically. So i dont think its not really a refresh of the Asian Trail Blazer model. They probably scrapped it altogether to make way for this unit.
@@lance1610 I already considered that factor. While I agree with your point, that feature still don't justify its price point. And they really had the courage to sell it in a tropical country. That's stupidity I guess because it says a lot on how they study the market, or did they?
Pretty bold move from Chevrolet, I should say, trying to compete with the growing popularity of compact SUV. But with these underwhelming features, it's getting way behind the line.
I dont even have a plan to buy this car. I just want to see Caco talk.

Great review; This was a very well done review that would cover most peoples questions on this trailblazer. Thanks for the review from the USA . We did buy one 3 weeks ago with the 1.2 engine , & the CVT trans. Known state side as the base model LS.
Very nice review from the Autodeal team. As for the car, pretty underwhelming for the price. One can name a few brands/cars with better features at a lower price point. The only things that impressed me is the front exterior and trunk space.
Great review as always but i think most of us would agree the price is too high against what it delivers, especially since their are crossovers priced in the sub 1.3m or even 1m pesos in the Philippine market that offers everything except for the kitchen sink. Chevrolet really needs to keep up with the pace or they're going to get left behind.
true for 1.6m no vents at the rear and even arm rest a problem, the lower and small RedLine Tracker has Panoramic Sunroof why would they left behind the Trailblazer like that.

Very good looking car came for a test drive at Chevrolet Makati very well ang customer service. The new trailblazer looks like a camaro and drives like a sports car it is packed with safety features it has 360 active and passive driver assistance to keep the driver and passengers safe unlike 360 camera view it only shows you what is around your car but do not offers safety assistance. Perfect to pang daily drive fitted din sa mga married couples na nagsisimula palang at may isang anak pati narin sa mga individual na environmentally conscious. The new trailblazer is a driver car it explains the reason why there are not much buttons and features for passengers to mess around.

1.6 million is too much of an asking price for this, in a world where the Territory and Coolray exists. Heck At 1.6M, you can just get the base models of the Montero/Fortuner instead of this thing, or even the mid spec pickups.

With that price point 1.6m php, I could buy toyota raize, 1 iphone 13 ro max, 1 ROG laptop and can also start small food franchise. LOL no one would dare to buy this car unless a chevy diehard fan.
How is this car differs from the blazer
The fact that they are now competing in compact crossover clearly reflects that they fail in SUV segment. It's just sad that they shrink this "Trailblazer" compared to its previous models. PS: The front end is definitely a head turner.
What I like most is Caco's Otnisuka.

Buy a Geely or a Ford instead. This car is such a letdown. First of all, you are paying 1.6 freaking million for this "SUV" Second: you are stuck with a pathetic 1.3L engine. It just mimics other crossovers. It fails to be unique. Just buy a Geely Azkarra or an MG HS. (If it already releases)

Even the market they first introduced this to hated it, now they're throwing it to the recycle bin in hopes it would sell elsewhere. The Trailblazer nameplate meant something and it's faithfuls were insulted by this revival(to them). I'm not a faithful but even I know the original Trailblazer was rugged and not this soft-roader ✌️
To be fair most people who bought a Trailblazer didn't really go offroad with them. People used them as family cars and primarily stuck to paved roads. So it makes sense to make it more suited to pavement then dirt. SUV's aren't that impressive in my opinion. Most people would be perfectly fine buying a sedan, or if you've a bit larger family, a wagon or a van.
So this trailblazer isn't an suv? I thought the branding trail blazer was a seven seater vehicle
I find it weird because this was a suv before and they now made it to a crossover. Dude if they continued the suv version of it, it would be a good for a big family.
Want to waste your money? Buy this! 😂 Unless you're a die-hard Chevy guy, this is the absolute worst in the segment. Some Chinese cars can even beat this.

They don't have the Premier trim here in the States. We have the LS, LT, Active and RS. They actually sell pretty well here, I own the RS and they could get rid of the automatic high beams and then the lane keep assist. I think they put those features in just as an excuse to raise the price, but honestly they don't work that well. The highbeams just seem to turn on when people are coming so you look like an asshole, the lane keep assist will panic if you let go of the steering wheel for a minutes. lol it does do pretty good on gas

Was really looking forward to this but when the price was revealed when it was released (I forgot when), I was sooo disappointed. With its price, I'll rather buy Subaru XV or Mazda CX-5.
If this review came out before honda announced they will release the redesigned hrv, i would have gone for this. But thanks so much autodeal

I've expected more from the new trailblazer in terms of tech improvements. For it's price i would prefer buying the gasoline or mid-price diesel 7 seater Honda CR-V instead.

It looks good and rugged. But, it's overpriced, not as powerful as a Coolray, and doesn't have a lot of tech features to justify the price. Only loyal and hardcore Chevy fans will buy this. Otherwise, there are better options in the market like the Azkarra, Coolray SE, Territory, CS35 Plus, CS75, MG HS, the list goes on.
Better go for the Ford Territory at this price!

2017 trailblazer is best looking, the build and engine is on par with pajero sport and fortuner. this is on par with hrv, and other smaller 2 row suv. it looks good but i don't think the name trailblazer is fit for this

I still prefer the trailblazer way back 2015-2018 7 seaters in a Diesel engine instead of this new face
The 2009 trailblazer was the last of the trailblazer. Had actual trunk space, had a proper engine, looked sorta boxy, and was still more off road capable than this joke of a car Edit: oh, and Chevy made it unique, the body panels were exclusively designed for the trailblazer. This is a re-badged traverse, and literally every other crossover
Not a big fan of these changes. Chevrolet should've kept the 7 seater SUV design and simply developed and improved upon it. I'm also left wondering why they didn't keep the previous Duramax diesel engine? It was on of the things that made the last generation Trailblazer standout from the competition. And what did they replace it with? A puny 1.3 3 cylinder gasoline engine that mimicks so many other cars in this price point.
The previous gen trailblazer was a collaboration with Isuzu. It was an old mu-x with a different interior and duramax engines. My guess is that collab is now over since their new partner is Mazda with the BT50.
They basically retired the old edition of the trailblazer when they started to manufacture the full size Blazer,as well as the Chevy Tahoe,and don’t forget you also have the Traverse.
Evolved? No. Devolved is more like it.
Chevrolet is my second favorite. Price was chippsy that's why I like this trailblazer
In my opinion, I dont think this is really a facelift from the previous generation. Since this same exact Trailblazer came from their North American market. So they probably scrapped that Asian Trailblazer model altogether to make way for this. To be honest, I dont see a lot of this one here in Canada, Quebec in particular. They dont sell well in other words. So this exact unit that's been shown may have been shipped from North America to Asia help augment with their sales. Because why would they manufacture a car in a tropical country that have heated seats and steering wheel. You can only find those features here in North American market. 😁 Probably the only nice going on with Chevy is their infotainment system, which is really good and fuel efficiency.
This might compete with its sibling the tracker.

We have the 7 seater TB and I can say that this is new tb is a downgrade from the previous one, I don’t know what GM is thinking. Even the price is disappointing, I would just buy the tracker instead of this or other vehicles like the territory etc.
I dont get it why they didn’t change the name. It’s a totally different car from the original trailblazer

This is because Chevrolet's Thailand factory closed and Reportedly sold to a Chinese (car) company. Currently all chevy cars Is made in China or Korea.

i would still prefer the 7 seater SUV trailblazer . very disappointed they turned it into a 5 seater crossover in which they already have a chevy tracker for that and with very outdated features and that price is very expensive ill say compared to other crossover class.
