  • That Cervelo R5 with Reserve climbing wheels just whoops those aero bikes The explanation of Jeff (NC) at the end is so good. Every detail in the last 250 kms is so important!

  • Jeff, I feel like your recommendation to be on the right at 450m benefits from hindsight - you KNOW the other sprinter goes early, and you KNOW it opens up. _But that being the "gutter side" of a big crosswind, would you really expect it to open up?_ Could easily have been boxed in.... Wouldn't it have been more prudent for your guest host to have led out on the left and sprinted earlier, _hoping_ his sprinter would get out at 200m (earlier than he did)?

    @georgehugh3455@georgehugh34552 жыл бұрын
    • Jeff should have been on the far right, not necessarily to benefit him (although we know in hindsight it would have) but mostly to benefit his teammate, and this is the most important part...NOBODY else. If Jeff went earlier and pinned it on the right side, with only enough room for his teammate, everyone else is guttered while his teammate is the only one getting draft.

      @NorCalCycling@NorCalCycling2 жыл бұрын
    • There was actually tons of room on the protected right side, and I was shocked nobody was crowding it out. None of my breakaways worked, so it was pretty much damage control for me at 450m to go. I noodled thru the pack to immediately close the right hand door, so that my 600w sprint had a snowball's chance in hell for picking up a point in the P12's.

      @m.ncycles@m.ncycles2 жыл бұрын
    • @@NorCalCycling Thanks so much for the response. (Based on @m n, I guess I don't know what "tons of room" looks like, lol)

  • position was a killer at the end. dude was boxed in until they were at like 250m which is when he should be dropping off his sprinter.

    @steven54knights@steven54knights2 жыл бұрын
    • 250 is pretty early to end the leadout dont ya think? or do ya mean in this particular instance?

      @neelsahay5227@neelsahay52272 жыл бұрын
    • Depends on the type of sprinter, but you should be dropping him/her off with about 10-12 seconds left in the race, which usually is about 200m to go

Either the map is wrong, the wind direction shown on next to the map is wrong, or I'm watching people ride on the wrong side all the time? edit: wait, they are going up and down on the same road just with a grass divider, now I get the map lmao sorry guys
