How to print with this chromebook?
I’ve literally been struggling with this for over six months I’m so happy I discovered this video
6 months!? My first week with a Chromebook, most things felt natural and anything I didn’t know, I just quickly Googled.
I use my chromebook strictly for writing my book. Keeps me from being distracted by games. It's amazing that my little chromebook only needs to be charged once per day, and it's light and easy to lug around. I'm also not worried about it being stolen or damaged since it was so cheap. Much better than working on my $2000 laptop

There are so many things I didn't know how to do on my chromebook a year ago. I've been really frustrated and didn't know how to navigate. This guy explains so much, kinda like sitting with a friend who can talk to me on my level. I will save this site and come back to it to recall his many tips. Thx!!!
great video! this guy is like reallllllllly down to earth and easy to follow in the video. i like how he calmly cuts down to the chase quickly and informs the viewer about chromebooks.

Singing...at lasssst. Thank you for being quick thorough and to the point. Most tutorials are overly complicated or overly simplified. You hit the sweet spot!
I have had the same chrome book a long time. 5 years or longer. I still works as good as it did when I got it. It's so fast. Only problem is it will not update any longer. I'll get a link to where I can buy a new chromebook. Some sites say my version is no longer supported. But there are many sites it work just fine. I really love the thing. The email, google drive, photos and docs is what I use the most. I did order a new one recently and look forward to getting it and see what's new.
Very well presentation, especially for anyone just starting with Chromebook after years with the Microsoft systems. Hope to see more of these in the future. Great Job!
i feel like i could fall asleep to this. great presenter, great voice. great video in general. i've had my chromebook for years now but i learned something from this video! thank you!
this speaks volumes. if someone can own a chromebook for years & not be able to optimise their usage without a video tutorial, you can safely conclude that chromebook interface is not intuitive

I bought Chromebook as a second laptop for school work & writing only since my 15-inch gaming laptop is a little too much at times. I was a little nervous at first to get Chrome OS because I was worried I wouldn't be able to do all the things I'm doing in school and for my story writing but I've had it for 2 days now and absolutely satisfied. I just found your channel through searching for tips and tricks for the Chromebook & immediately subscribed!

I love your videos and look forward to them. I do like my Acer Chromebook 14 for Work (Intel i5, 8G RAM 32GB of storage). It's a great grab and go laptop for general usage especially since I use Gsuite for business. But the Linux experience is non existent. The ability to run Linux was the entire reason I decided to give a Chromebook a try. Had I known features would be hit and miss with some Chromebooks (basically the Pixelbook) getting full support and every announced feature..while others...regardless of how much you spent on them or how great or updated the specs...not getting it at all...I would have spent my $600 on something else. As a web support specialist moving into network security, being able to run Linux was an important feature for me. And since you can't boot from a USB with a Chromebook ( which would solve every issue for me) my Chromebook is less functional than every other device I own since I really can't use it for work. For me it's still a better deal to just refurb a 14" Thinkpad pad that I can do everything on, and boot any OS at will including Chromium if that's what I need to do. And that's a shame because this is a great Chromebook that I got for a great price, that I would love to use as my all purpose machine. Not sure who dropped the ball on Linux support but the experience has soured me on both the Chrome OS experience and Acer devices in general because now I don't know what to trust, or is going to be supported past the initial product launch where they promise you the world, and then just ignore an entire product line with no explanation once they have your money. And when Acer is coming out with a new Chromebook every month, it's a good bet that they are going to abandon more than a few of them past the 1st year.

Thank you very much! I am a senior faced with getting a replacement Chromebook. FInding the AUE info for a replacement Chromebook is not easy. And your Power Wash info is very useful!
Probably my favourite trackpad gesture is when you hover over a link, 3 finger click opens it in a new tab. I browse like that a lot as I don’t like to lose where I was so that was a neat feature when I first got a Chromebook. Also, I used to detest trackpads on laptops as previous ones have always been unpredictable and not responsive or would highlight random stuff unintentionally- the one on my Asus is so good I don’t even think about using a mouse anymore, even if I’m using it on a desk; that used to be the first thing I’d do.
This is exellent. Should be required viewing for any and all purchasing a chromebook.
Helpful video. I will be getting my Chromebook in a few days (14" Lenovo S340). Thankfully the trackpad actions mentioned here are similar to those in Windows 10, even the three-finger gestures. Initially, I thought "powerwash" was just an colloquial term used in place of "factory reset". After watching some more of these Chromebook tutorials, I found out that it was literally right there in the Settings screen: "Powerwash" :D
Maaan the no "right click" thing took some getting used to. Still gets me sometimes...
Just ordered my Chromebook 3 today. Excited about getting it with a little apprehensive at the same time.
Great tips! I just got a chromebook and this made starting off easy thanks. It's actually pretty intuitive as I use chrome mostly on my PC.
I've been a Windows user since the 3.1 days but just purchased a Chromebook to road test and I gotta say I'm thoroughly impressed. Feel like I've been missing out some. I went for one of the Chromebook Plus models. Figured the bigger RAM and storage was a better choice. Chrome OS is very smooth and so far been an awesome experience. Gestures and hotkeys are a learning curve but i'll get there. Thanks for the tips on the video. Will check out some others.
I have used a Chromebook for nearly two years. Since I have had one, I only rarely use a Windows machine. Chromeboook runs cool and silent, long battery life, fast startup, updates, shutdown. Runs an external screen when needed. Rugged. Does everything browser based just fine. But also android apps. Most andoid apps run just fine unless they get confused by the large screen. My navigation and mapping apps run on this as well as on my android tablets/phones. Thanks for the video, much familiar but things to learn. All that and it was cheap. Very pleased that I bought one while away from my PC on a long trip.

Great video. I'm new to Chromebook so this really helped. Blown away by the three finger swipe between tabs!
I’ve been using chromebooks for along time and a few of these tips I didn’t know and will be really helpful!
Great advice. I learned some stuff (especially CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+?). I've had a Chromebook for a couple of months, and being familiar with many operating systems as an IT professional (Windows 3.1 - 10, Mac OSX "Snow Leopard" and on, Linux--with GNOME, KDE, XFCD, and other desktops--a few BSD's, and some more exotic stuff), the transition was not difficult. Having said that, there is always something new to learn. I think one important thing to realize is that ChromeOS is basically Android (made for a phone) on a laptop. I do with that I had the Function Keys though. For example, I can't do ALT+F4 to close stuff.
Chromebook Work with Windows?
I have a question, if I get an iPhone , and close that google account/gmail , another words wipe my android phone to trade it in, will eveything disappear of of my chromebook, because I would still want to use that same google/gmail on the chromebook, and have my new iphone without the gmail, ? I know sounds odd but I want to swith to an iphone 13 whole leeping my chromebook the way I hsve it, or should I just add that acount to the iphone? My normal email is NOT gmail, it is aol, which is on my chromebook plus the google account.???? I wouldn't close the google account on my chromebook just the galaxy phone/ android would have to be wiped to trade it in , worried that I would lose my stuff, imprtant things on my chromebook, is that true? Or do I have nothing to worry about
I used to own a windows laptop for 5 years and have been using it on and off due to college, but i have been using and loving chrome OS for 3 years

totally agree, we are hating it so far but this has really helped!
I think it’s just a big change for many people who are used to windows and Mac. I used chrome for work so was already a bit familiar with it, plus I hate windows and had been looking for a way to ditch it for ages! My chromebook is so much quieter and isn’t slowed down by random crap running in the background. It also doesn’t get as hot as a result and has a much better battery life.
Which Chromebook is used in the video?
I just bought a used Samsung Chromebook 4 on Ebay. It still had the other user on it, and was asking me for their password to let me use it. I powerwashed it and was able to load my own account on it. I'm totally happy with my used Chromebook.

I love my Acer Chromebook 10 the stylus isn't as uncomfortable as others are making it out to be. It's easy to put a cushion on the pen too. Stylus is so easy to use. Bluetooth doesn't work as well as I hoped. Love that the pen comes inside the tablet. I'm able to take notes so easy. Easy to switch between landscape and portrait mode no hassle whatsoever. I would recommend getting a stand.
Great video. Like others have said, I did not know about the 3 finger stuff even though I have used chrome books pretty much from the beginning. I also had not stopped to think about it but you are right, I have never had a CB with a bad trackpad, which is more than I can say for Windows.
I have tremors in my hands and I can’t use the track pad. I have to attach a mouse to my computer.
