  • I had this monitor for a few years and didnt like it too much. Had bad viewing angles and terrible ghosting, probably because its a VA panel. The contrast ratio was decent though. I would say and fast IPS panel in this category would be amazing

  • I bought the AOC CU34G2X monitor a while back, and overall, it's been great. However, I have been experiencing a persistent issue with pixelated dark video. I have tried adjusting the settings for a while, but I can't determine whether the monitor is faulty or if there is a configuration issue causing the problem. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

    • Ah, the eternal question: can a monitor run without a PC? Unfortunately, this monitor is not sentient enough to work on its own. It needs a computer to function properly.

  • The only problem with ultra wide monitors are that they are not 2 monitors.. having 2x 1080p 1ms 144hz for me is so much better than having any single OP monitor.. cuz i wanna watch stuff on another and play on the main one and you cant do that on 1 monitor..

    • I had the same configuration, then got this 34 AOC monitor and will never come back. Mainly for game but everything else i great as well. I was a bit skeptical about the curve (my first curved monitor) but barely notice it after few days. I choose it vs 4K and don't regret it, especially because my 1080ti have no problem to handle those extra pixels, while 4k is a bit of an issue for some very demanding games.

    • But then your rig is running two separate screens on top of the game. I'd just buy a Smart TV and put it in my game room (which is actually what I did) before running two monitors.
