Oh that's so sweet Marie, you made my day! It's lot of work to create these tutorials, so it means a lot for me when someone tells me how much all of this can be useful him or her. Thank YOU ❤
HELPFUL TIPS and TIMECODES! I, too, have purchased the template to modify into a mask/cosplay piece. I've just gone through the video super carefully and hope the following can help make the tutorial and templates easier to use. TIP #1 - MAKE SURE you transfer over the template page numbers. For some reason mine didn't initially transfer (I think the bottom of the pages got cut off) so for every piece after 12 I was like "which one is this?" #2 - If you are wondering which templates correspond to which piece of the head here you go: - Main head shape/structure (1:32) - Templates pages 1-12 - Covering the dome (2:46) - no templates - Interior Pharyngeal Jaw (4:37) - Templates 14, 15, and 22 (I think - no mention of 22 is made in the video). 14 and 15 get rolled into bars to create the jaws. 22 is the spacer/support pieces to keep the jaw the right shape. - Main Jaws (6:38) - In the order they are used, templates 19, 23, 20, and 21. 23-1 and 23-2 are the only two that don't get rolled into bars. 23 are both parts of the "gums". - Details on the sides of the head (9:25) - Templates 16 - 18, as well as 13. 13 forms the ribbing pattern on the side of the head, hence why it says "make as many as needed" on the template. - Jaw tendon supports (11:11) - Templates 24-25 - Detailing/Texturing (11:29) - no specific templates. Random cardboard rolls, and strips of cardboard paper.

I've been thinking of making this for months, last night at 2 a.m. I was drinking beer and wanted the templates. I was "too lazy" to get my wallet so I used the preview picture, scaled it in photoshop and figured out the order from the video. Took me about 2 hours to get the final prints. Today I started building it. Since I'm not a total dick I still bought your templates today even if I don't need them anymore. Because you deserve it. It's really nice design and well worth even more than the 2$.
But the preview picture doesn't even show all the templates! Lol Anyway glad that you make it and that you enjoy my work. I appreciate it 😉

thank you very much james booker!! Actually if I don't paint them it's on purpose. Cardboard is not a good material when it comes to that part unfortunately. Hi Raphael :) i just purchased your template and i working on the alien. When i download the template i see a reference picture of a painted xenomorph. Can i ask how can i paint it the same way? It looks beautiful! Thank you for your help :)
Hey Mosko, thanks for purchasing the templates! To answer to your question, you can't actually lol the prop that you see on this picture is a 1500 dollars prop made with resin. So the painting job was made with expensive processes, devices and tools. Plus Resin is not cardboard.... Cardboard is a really bad material when it comes to painting it, because it reacts really badly to liquids (that's why I don't paint my props). That being said you can try to paint it, and if you do that in a good way by making several thin layers of paint, you may end up with a pretty good result. But don't expect to have the kind of result that you see on this picture!
@@EpicCardboardProps Thank you so much for your answer :) I will paint it and see what happens :D LOL
@@Mokso I've just had a look on your channel, you have some mad skills! I'm sure you'll do a great job with it. Btw congrats for the success you have with your channel. You're on your way to hit 1 million subs that's a great milestone! I wish I was there already lol That's awesome 👊

To be honest i dont understand why dont you have more subscribers. Please dont misunderstood, i dont wanna be smart, but i would like to give you an advice which will help you grow faster because i would like to help you. I would work on my thumbnails. You do an extremely good job in the video but you could be better with the thumbnails i think. I would make more "natural" thumbnails. I would go back and change them even on the past videos. It will make a change i am sure. :) Check "The Q" channel. The guy is incredibly good at thumbnails. Again please dont misunderstood me. Your works are extremely impressive and you will reach 5 million subscribers faster than me i am sure. I will finish the alien this week and i will try to promote your channel in the pinned comment! Good luck Raphael and thank you for your help!
@@Mokso Don't worry there is no offense! It's always good to have feedbacks and advises from bigger KZheadrs ;) Actually my CTR is quite high with these thumbnails but you're right it may be even higher this way, and actually I've been thinking to make some that way already, but as my CTR is pretty high I'm just a little bit afraid to change them... lol but I have to take the risk, and I'll do for sure. Thanks Resolute Gryphon ! But unfortunately cardboard is not a good material when it comes to that part, like at all lol... Painting them would make all the imperfections much more visible, and they would end up looking like crafts made by a young child lol to a certain extent... @@EpicCardboardProps You're the expert, so let me ask: Can digital tools (example, photoshop) be used to bring optimal colour to the cardboard? I'm interested in creating some props for photografic purpouses and it seems like the basic colour of cardboard is good for that. Have you seen something like that be done?

Thanks for the suggestion Bill, it might be cool to make this one indeed! But unfortunately it has to be a movie prop/thing for it to be aligned with the topic of this channel. But maybe in the future, maybe they'll make a movie from it, you never know! ;)
